I still have some more work to do on this; I haven't had much time to dedicate to modding recently.
I'll try to finish everything up after 3.9 releases.

The new Origins will be significantly different from the existing ones and overall just way simpler, but I believe the improved mechanics and clarity should make up for that.

I've pretended this doesn't exist for quite a while now, but an Update is coming. I've been dreading to touch this since honestly it's just such a mess. But I just began reworking everything from the ground up.

I do not recommend starting a new playthrough with this mod installed as it probably will break savegames once I release the update. (Which should hopefully be before 3.9)

Well to be fair this mod hasn't been updated since... 3.4?
But you should be able to activate the edicts which should get rid of the vampires, but yeah. I'll will keep that in mind for when I *eventually* rework this entire mod.

Quick Note: Vampire pops can spawn on planet if you picked Broken Shackles origin,

giving you a massive kick to your butt on start, this is likely "not a bug it's a feature"

Ancient Wisdom seems to be getting added to ALL of my leaders if I have even a single pop with the trait. Even synths.

@Stekkjastaur There is a situation that gets silently added to you situation log that lets you proceed with the situation. I really wish it had a notification.

I have the Blood Court origin and I'm trying to overthrow my government. the situation has been stuck at 90% for a about a decade, I've defeated the nightwatch and my ruler is a vampire (my heir isn't though) is there something else I need to do to finish the situation?

@mozzribo my experience has been the vampire trait is gained through the Blood Court origin which infects a small number of your pops with vampirism. Then it can randomly spread to other pops over time and you can use a decision on new planets to seed vampires.

When will the Nightwatch Militia Raid appear? I'm only seeing the "form" edict/decisions.

For anyone who's encountering the Situation or Vampires despite not having the Origin, there's two Edicts, Nightwatch Militia and Nightwatch Militia Raid. The former will stop the spread the latter will remove the situation and the vampires.

Hi, how do I stop this event from occurring when I don't have Court of Blood on? I've set up a Nightwatch and only have 1 vamp pop but I can't purge them because of my ethics.

Yep! Fixed, shouldn't be happening anymore and in case it does there are now 2 Nightwatch Edicts to get rid of the situation and any unwanted Vampires.

Updated, still incredibly WIP, but mostly playable. This one has become significantly more complex than I initially planned...

As usual I'm lazy about the localisation so expect to find missing pieces, fillers and random stuff.

It's pops. My synthetic pops can get the vampiric trait by your event where pops are being attacked.

An if clause to check that the pop does not have the mechanical trait whould be the fix though.

Need more information on that one, Is it leaders or pops? Do you have an issue with them becoming vampires or are you saying they aren't? I'm not even sure how the mod handles Synths rn. I will look into it at some point though

Right now it happens once your empire has more vampiric pops than non-vampiric pops. In about a week or so it'll instead be more fancy with a Situation showing your progress and ways to actually influence how quick it'll happen.

I haven't got the time yet to finish the update, it's mostly just missing localisation though.

@NastyCake My guess is some other mod in your playset doesn't get along with this one, as I can guarantee you this mod by itself will not affect habitability in any way. All it does at this time is add an Origin and a couple traits. This mod should go well with 99% of mods out there, but it's still possible some other mod somehow affects this one.
I can't really do anything about it unless you figure out which one(s) that would be. Then maybe I can look into it and put up a comp patch.

I have encountered a game-crashing bug and managed to trace it back to this mod. According to the error logs the crash is caused by an invalid context switch in the decisions in lines 79 and 132

@Ocean Man You just kinda play the game and it happens on it's own eventually.
Not particularly elegant, that's why I'm currently working on changing pretty much everything related to that Origin. The entire overthrowing thing will be done via Situations, nice and transparent. I'm also looking into the other issue- I didn't know that was still happening tbh. Thanks for letting me know.

@AlienfinderX Probably not, at least I haven't planned to do something like that.

How exactly do you overthrow the government with the Court of Blood origin? I tried electing one of my vampires to be my ruler, but the vampiric trait vanished.

It's not supposed to. And as far as I can tell it's not doing it either, as this mod doesn't touch habitability at all. It's probably some other mod in your playset that's causing the issue.

@MSMania123 That one is actually not on my to-do list. Maybe at some point in the future though, after I've polished the other ones a bit
