I found that mods that put restrictions on the number of celestial objects that the AI can build, it significantly reduces lag and also player aggravation. For example, each AI empire can only build x number of habitats (x is sometime determined by the player).
If this mod puts in such limits, I'll immediately subscribe. I'll wait until then...

Start Station Close planetary decision does nothing.. even if I cease robot assembly and pop growth the pop number doesn't go down. Also if I close the station manually by relocating pops the station doesn't deteriorate after some years.

Thanks, but heavily lags later on.
AI spawns them everywhere it can.
Did another playthrough without it and lag was considerably postponed.

This mod is the perfect implementation of colonization of uninhabitable worlds in my opinion.

Hey.

I noticed paradox changed to stricter checklist for capital buildings in 4.1. custom capitals no longer working with checks. meaning any building needs Planetary Administration on planet can no longer be upgraded or build on stations as custom capital and their upgraded no longer with in the checks. so I can no longer build Fortress or Paradise Dome on stations.

I am running into the same issues with the stations with anything dealing with mining or energy. They keep saying there is no districts to build in.

Hi Annatar,
After the recent patch I've encountered a bug where when I set up and colonize a station on a body with minerals, it shows it as 0/0 and I can't build any of those districts (also occurs with Helium-3 districts). Haven't tested it with energy but it hasn't affected research or civilian manufacturing districts. Worth noting that I'm using this mod without the main Real Space mod, but prior to the patch I was doing the same and there was no problem.

Planetary stations wont deteriorate, and impossible to terraform any of them (with real terraforming)

Hey Annatar, is there a particular reason for the full file overwrite of the vanilla building trigger file? (That being 01_scripted_triggers_buildings.txt )

Seems like you only overwrite three triggers there so you could just have those triggers in a file that loads after the vanilla building trigger file (something like planetarystations_vanilla_overwrites.txt should work fine while also fitting in with the naming convention for your other files)

Doing it this way would improve compatibility with other mods while also reducing potential maintenance issues

Trying to build a station on Mars but the build percentage isn't increasing at all, just sitting at 0% on the constructor activity.

I've found a bug, when the station is abandoned there is a timer that count for 5 years after which the station will deterioate. When it reaches 0 it will reset and the counting will start from begining so the station never deteoriate.

I've encountered a tiny visual bug where planet cracking a barren planet will visually leave it as barren instead of a cracked planet.

Oh, does it act as a mega-structure? And not a conventional colony? So I could build a dyson sphere, then place stations on each of the now cold bodies?

Currently (V. 4.20) causes issue: 1. Chance of crashing during launch or closing of game, though not always - believe to be something to do with mod load order and 2. City districts only provide clerk jobs instead of jobs depending on particular specialization districts.

Looks like stations refuse to close down, even with blocking pop and robo growth. Playing on 4.0.18 and additional Mods.

Paradox changed some things in district specialization code in the latest patch, it's broken several mods.

yup, tested it and the problem with missing districts jobs is the Planetary Stations issue.

It happened when 4.0.18 was released on, previous version of patch there was no issue

Was having an issue where districts were not producing jobs, after going through and disabling all my mods one by one it seems that deactivating this one restored jobs upon creating a new save- bricked my old save, but such is playing modded lol.

Not sure what would cause this but thought I'd let creator or anyone else who may have a similar issue know. Happened after the update today maybe? No other mods conflicts I can think of, running pretty standard stuff; UI overhaul, tiny outlier, habitat limiter, etc.

How do these behave with trying to build ring worlds or dyson spheres, as both of those interact with whether or not there are any habitable planets in the system(in that we CAN'T build them if there are any)?

As far as I can tell there is a bug when terraforming a planet with a planetary station where the colony will be treated like it is still a station. I found a rudimentary fix for it through console commands and I went more into depth about it in a discussion post on this mod page if you are experiencing the same issue and would like to fix it for yourself.

I had to disable the asteroid bases on my end. Primarily as they kept crashing my game whenever I pressed to view one, and I have too many mods to bother figuring out whether it's a compatibility issue… 😅

But also because I find them really annoying gameplay-wise. I play with very little habitable world, so the planetary stations being used for terraforming is very cool. But the asteroid bases are just sort of there; hard to click on (asteroid are tiny), useless for macroeconomy, and frankly just annoying to look at. :steamsad:

I've been thinking, if you would consider, how the old pirate bases looked like. Perhaps this could be an inspiration for what the Asteroid stations are good for? Perhaps as a rare technology from the marauders? idk. 🤔

On another note, terraforming district when? 😏

@tilarium Yes, ty. But mainly I wanted to draw attention to NF - a mod that would be excellent companion to other mods. I would love to use NF.

Can I use 'Planetary Stations' without 'New Frontiers' (NF) without issues?
I actually really want to try NF, but its' incompatibility problems (detailed in the NF mod page) prevent me from doing so.
