As a person whose Faction amounts caused over six hours to set them, this Mod was a God send. I used it to load certain Factions and save a butt ton of time.
That said, I see the ongoing utility in this, so I'm going to try and update it to the new version at some point.
I used it to bring an ideology from an old save into a new game as an NPC ideoligion. I'm happy to report that even though the ideoligion was built with different mods installed, I was still able to get it imported and it works just fine!
cheers mate
THIS MOD IS NECESSARY
MUST HAVE
I was just reading the patch notes for Update 1.3.3117 that was released to the Unstable branch yesterday. And, among the many changes, I noticed this under the "New Stuff" heading:
"- While starting a game with fluid ideoligions, you can now customize and load NPC faction ideoligions."
To be clear, I have yet to try this mod or the 1.3.3117 Unstable update. However, I have to wonder: Does that update make this mod a little bit redundant or obsolete? Then again, the patch notes suggest this is limited to "fluid ideoligions", which I'm not 100% clear on. So, maybe I'm way off base.
I could probably at least add another pair of buttons - "multiple factions use this ideoligion, give each faction their own" and "collapse this ideoligion's faction into this other ideoligion" - but that's a bigger undertaking.
