May I ask how to get to the Strider, and the room with the Combine in them? I'm guessing the Combine room/old secret room has something to do with the secret buttons, but I'm not sure of all of their locations', any pointers?

@FatttyMcFatFat do you not get the definition of mod (maybe not definition) Its made by other player at first it was a mod FOR HL2 then the guy decided to make a standalone game cause everyone liked it and it would be optimised to run with the setting of gmod also there are most hl2 textures but not all which is on purpose so players CANT play hl2 campaign without paying for it or you know download textures and stuff

@freddyfattybear You are probably living under a rock like Patrick, but infact it was first produced as a mod, but much later was turned into a standalone game, but most of its content still remain from HL2, thats why people can manage to make all the HL2 campaign maps.

In the first picture there's a galaxy looking gate i went in it and it teleported me to the big alien from hl2 how do i get there without any cheats?

It shouldn't require HL2 simply because most of Garrys Mod's content is from HL2...

I would be fine with a reuploaded version, but I can see how a lot of people may not want that. I don't mount the addon off the workshop for my server, so it wouldn't be a big deal for me. It would really be up to you what you want to do.

- 100% understand. It's never fun to have a spot in a map where Innos just camp so sorry about that. I really feel stupid for not thinking about that earlier honestly. I can fix it very easily but the problem would be reuploading the map. Reuploading would require the players to subscribe and download an entirely new version of the map, but I'm sure people wouldn't mind to fix the bug(also it would have to be a new item in the workshop as I cant update this on and have it automaticly update the map for all subscribers).

Any thoughts or other feedback?

My players have reported an issue they have with this map. Due to the random nature of the teleporter, it is almost impossible to get into the secret room when you need to get in there. Innocents have begun camping the secret room if they somehow manage to get there and this can lead to the round running out of time if the Traitor can’t get in there in time. I know that you can release the soldiers into the room, but if there is only 1 Traitor this is not an option. Is there anyway that this could be fixed? Maybe add a way for the Traitors to get into the room if they want, but make it obvious how they got in there. My players want me to move back to the V1 of this map because of this. I don’t want to do that as I like this one a lot more.

Used to run v1 on a server I used to own a while back.
Still trying to figure out the different secrets 'n what not you've put on the map.
Lovin' the T traps nonetheless.

Yes, this is based on the map d1_eli01 from Half-Life 2.

The button in the Strider room is for Tratiors, activating it causes the Strider to be released. It looks the room temporarily and basically kills everyone in there at the cost of the Tratiors life. It also releases Combine Soldiers in the Secret Room(map creator room) and Combine Hunters onto the main map. Not useful if you are the last T but it can be well worth the cost if you have some fellow Ts still alive.

Umm.... It's kinda hard to explain, and now that I think about it, it was probably a bad design choice, the Yellow Blocks are the Laser Guns, the squarish/rectanglish block ontop is the Firing button. When you press the button a laser beam shots out until you press it again to stop it. The idea was you could have a weapon that you could walk around with using the Magneto Stick that could fire lasers. At the time I was working on the map, I was really wanting some sort of Laser Gun that I could have that a player could pickup, run around with it, and actually fire it. The original designs where using a Hunter Chopper gun model but this idea ultimately failed. So instead I created these boxish looking Laser Guns.

The one problem I had with them was picking them up with the Magneto Stick. The Magneto Stick liked to change the holding position of the box, thus changing the lasers position aswell which could cause some difficulties aim wise. I was unable to find a decent fix for it so I just left it as is. The gun may be a bit glitchy as I wasnt really able to test it on an actual server.

Hmm... well it seems I failed there... I probably should've made those a bit clearer. Those are actually the laser "guns", the square on top is the button to fire/stop the laser. You can pick it up with the Magneto Stick and carry it around...

I'd love it if I could find a server that runs my map so I can play on it with others... the server I use to moderated for is gone now... if anyone has a server that plays my map feel free to tell me about it.
