Please update tho.
To give context im using the sidearms mod.
It would be nice too if colonists didn't attempted to break already broken prisonners. After being visited by all my colony they're usually broken right now, then they're forgotten until I see that everyone wants to beat (and almost kill) them again
The more I play with this, the less it seems like a good mod. It's not done poorly or anything, but it's priorities don't make much sense. It would make more sense if resistance had to do with enslavement or getting information or something, but as a recruiting tool it's just a somewhat nonsensical way to reduce resistance faster.
My two cents:
Beating a prisoner shouldn't result in it more likely to join the colony as an equal (as per torture which is generally regarded a really bad interrogation method because it makes the prisoner totally untrusthworthy and not collaborative): it could instead lower will so enslaving is more easy. I can see a colony beating up a prisoner to make a slave out of it, absolutely not a partner with equal rights and status
Also: could the beating happen with non lethal ways? Like only using punches which can be absolutely dangerous but better than roughing up someone with an axe or a chainsword or whatever the pawn is currently equipped with
