-Continued- Also, kinda weird that the SPP commands notify chat on player join, and can be ran by anyone, instead of only admins. I changed our copy to be admin only, and only notify the specific player that joined, instead of the entire server for every player. We also tweaked both vanilla transport missions, and this mod's missions, to pay more for distance (transport_distance / 3). As the default values really aren't worth spending the time and fuel, IMO.

Neat idea, but the mod seems to be very broken. We've thoroughly tested it on our server. Spots on the map spawn, and initial packages spawn. But the deletePackage() function tries to use table.insert(), which randomly errors out with an out of bounds error, and stops packages from ever despawning/respawning. Without looking too deeply into it, I tried to fix this myself by replacing that line with

g_savedata.g_global_packages[item_index] = cargo_package_object

and this does stop the error, and packages properly despawn, but they never respawn. I'm guessing because.. your other code is expecting the index to grow from table.insert or something, so simply setting the variable wasn't enough. *shrug* not sure. A fix would be welcome, as we do like the idea of more delivery options, besides just giant boxes.

Yeah, that is kind of the issue. It's hard to find things that may only crop up after long playtimes. The update I released today added a small fix for where I think it might be occurring.

Oh, let me add that i played for a long time on this save, so it might be even a long term problem thats hard to catch.

Hmm, i didnt noticed an error. I will try the command the next time, thank you. But i have no disasters active, thats why i was surprised to realize that there are no packages. I have no idea for how long there are no packages, i am pretty good at ignoring them in the beginning of my games lol

@Gariot Are you getting any errors? You can try using ?SPPResetPackages if they have been maybe blown away from a disaster

Its been a while since i saw a package. Is something wrong? In the beginning i saw packages everywhere, but now they are all gone.

Would it be possible to add an approximate GPS location to the delivery description? I find myself looking all over the map to find where items are supposed to go as there are a large number of delivery points

Certainly not, everything that is spawned by this addon are things that the player can pick up. Are you using any other addons? I have no idea how it could be spawning ships.

I mean like an actual area thats painted on the ground because i keep needing to use the manual delivery command because the automatic delivery doesnt register the package as being delivered

There are indicators on the map for the location of delivery location as well as the poles with the logo on them. The latter are always on a corner or edge of the delivery area. Are you suggesting something else?

One suggestion that i have would be to add a marker for the delivery locations as i always find myself struggling to find where exactly to leave the package

It should be compatible with the default cargo system, though I don't know about GOM. There is no reason why it necessarily shouldn't though. Are you getting any errors in the chat?

Im having problems with it not spawning in more cargo and im not sure why. I do have default cargo system and the GOM cargo addon.

@Dragai Yes, those are meant to be a bit harder to find. The signs are fallen over on some of the hidden islands.

Is there a command to "reset all packages"? The natural disasters have all but destroyed the packages I have a bunch in the ocean and all over mainland in different places. lol

when it tells me to take something to an unhabited island does it just mean those random islands that are on the world that dont have any names on them or landmarks cause i couldve sworn i took one to one of them before and i got no reward

oh and also can we get more research points for normal packages cus its rlly hard to get them in classic mode

@CommanderMartin having anohter issue but this time with "Mainland Airport" Dreimor. When I bring a package there that has 200 minutes left to expire it won't let me deliver. I used ?SPPDeliver but it does not work. Any Ideas. loving this mod btw it adds so much life to the game. thank you for all you do!

I did try walking to the gap between the buildings abut could not get it to trip.

Is there a command to force a delivery? I have a package for Tijan Airbase and I have it delivered at the sign. It normally triggers the payout but this time it did not. Any Ideas @CommanderMartin

I've already applied that fix in a local copy but there seems to be more issues, I think the saved package count sometimes gets out of sync with the amount of packages currently saved, which causes an out of bound error, after a bit of fenageling I was able to make it more stable, but I had to remove the partitioning and do the entire update every tick. Also did some minor improvements such as giving research points. This version works decently for now but awaiting an official update.

Hey @Nemirel, I went and looked and yes there is an error on that line. An extra statement was added to the end of the string and that is what is causing the issue. I'm not at my workstation now or for a while unfortunately, so I'm not confident in doing an upload without the master copy on my main system or a backup copy for that matter. In the meantime, here is how to correct it yourself:

Open the script.lua file for this addon, search for:

table.remove(g_savedata.g_global_packages.remove, index)

and remove the extra .remove inside the parenthesis. The corrected line should be:

table.remove(g_savedata.g_global_packages, index)

I believe this should fix the issue. Sorry again for not being able to upload the fix myself; I'll get this sorted as soon as I can get back to my workstation.

I'm having frequent errors saying "550: bad argument #1 to 'remove' (table expected, got nil)". I think it's something about when a package expires and the script tries to remove it.

im found some to improve, when a tsunami ocurred, the packages fly away and i cant found them, i think to put a command to reset the locations of the packages

Hello, How does one deliver? just run up on spot? just making sure i'm doing it right. Also would this mod cause default transport missions trigger a lot. the repair then transport ones. i have a lot of those on map.

I uploaded what may be a fix. I'm not 100% on what's happening for you, but the change I made is the only obvious place I could see what you're experiencing could be coming from. Basically the system might be not checking the packages regenerated during a single session; when the game is reloaded, it does a package check and thus catches the previously missed ones.

Like I said, I'm not 100% it is the issue you're having, but it's a small issue in itself.

That's particularly strange lol. The command is ?SPPDeliver, but funnily enough, I forgot the ? at the beginning, thus making it not work. I tested this so many times and its always the smallest mistakes lol. I'll upload a fix shortly.
