Oh I like this lighter version than Desynchronized as it was too heavy for me, but hope a solution for breaking dev mode can be found and also it can gets updated to 1.3

Quick Disclaimer for other users. This mod breaks the dev menu if used!

Oh, the Abyss mod looks nice as well. I will also check that out soon.

The original idea for this mod is to implement some "lite" version of Desynchronized for my other mod The Edge Of Abyss

With what I see in real life on my side I guess I wont be able to remake Desynchronized with this mod... Perhaps in the later future when I have time and then I may or may not go back to Desynchronized, to merge with the Continuation version, but not sure about that

OK thanks. Glad you're still around. I'm going to check this out in my next colony.

@velcroboy333

no overlap, pretty sure they implemented something that is separate from this
velcroboy333 23. Dez. 2020 um 17:05
Is this compatible with the Desynchronized mod or is there overlap?

To be honest, the dread necromancer is a fringe case anyway. I've only had the skill in one playtrough til now.

@MrClint

Tbh I only know about Rimworld of Magic just now, and I *guess* this mod already supports Dread Necromancer...?

I had to look up the RoW wiki, but I guess the Raise Dead skill is simply to set the alive status = true, modify the pawn to lose traits etc, so supposedly if other pawns can look at risen pawns they will think they are alive... seems not what it should be, but idk
MrClint 16. Okt. 2020 um 10:27
Haha, no support for Dread Necromancer from Rimworld of Magic then.

Okay, thanks! That's kind of what I suspected. :) Have a nice day!

@Elthridge

Yeah kind of; there is no concept of news here, just some very basic states like "ALIVE", "DEAD", etc.; I feel like this can help me expand into more things like "MARRIED", "SINGLE" etc., something I couldn't figure out when I was working on Desynchronized

Also, news and dirty deeds aren't the focus here, so I think I can proceed safely without making too much stress through this framework

@JinxLuckless

Frameworks are for modders. Like, I make a framework, which is some "empty shell" and may or may not have observable features, and then modders (could also be me) use that framework and "fill in the content" to create actual observable features.

Have a look at Elite Bionics Framework and Elite Archotech, which is an example of a pair of Framework + Content mod.

So is this useful for an end-user, or only mod developers? I don't really know how 'frameworks' work, sorry.
Elth 6. Okt. 2020 um 9:55
@Vectorial1024 it's all good. sometimes its good to take periodic breaks from games like this.

So is this like a lite version of Desynchronized?
Vectorial1024  [Autor] 6. Okt. 2020 um 6:18
@Elthridge

Ngl I backed away from Desynchronized Tales and News because the darkness from the mod was starting to mix well with the darkness from real life

As long as there is a way to distinguish the shades of darkness coming from both sides then I guess it is still fine.

Just when I thought this game couldnt get any more depressing. Good job
