Its a good framework that can certainly use some updates
@Hellbound Hydrogen Thrusters generate a colossal amount of heat, hydrogen generators for power generate half the heat per unit of energy as the reactor does.
No. But the signatures are created as waypoints, so you can save them manually.
Also, the signatures are from a point in time, so it's only really good for having a rough idea as to where it is at that point in time. When you see it, it's already probably moved somewhere else (though still nearby)
If there's a desire for adding scripting support, it could be something I look into.
Woud love it if you chuck in a quick-and-dirty overall signal distance multiplier. We run with a pretty small world size on server and would be great to tinker with it to get it balanced to 30 players all operating in a 200-300km radius.
Large and Small grid base range is the default level all calculations are based on, so increasing those values will increase the range of thermal output. Lowering will make them harder to detect.
Weather multiplier doesn't do anything yet.
Atmospheric Density lets you adjust how much you want atmospheric density to have an effect on the thermal output. Higher numbers means they will increase the value, smaller values reduce the effect.
Gravity multiplier is non-functional, but would be the same as weather. More gravity can either give more or less heat
These are all global modifiers, each block type also has its own settings you can adjust, for example, Reactors have:
AirMultiplier = 0.5f,
So any output they produce is modified roughly like so:
Default Value * ((Air Multiplier * AirDensityAtPosition)*GlobalAirMultiplier)
This is simplified, but I hope it explains it.
<LargeGridBaseRange>2500</LargeGridBaseRange>
<SmallGridBaseRange>1500</SmallGridBaseRange>
<WeatherMultiplier>1</WeatherMultiplier>
<AtmosphericDensity>1</AtmosphericDensity>
<GravityMultiplier>1</GravityMultiplier>
Bring all your friends! and battle with russians/french/english/germans and more.
Look for Prometheus Vanilla PVP.
Respect to DEV for this awesome mod, this should be online at any PVP server to light the sky with enemies to shoot! :)
I also plan on adding this to my list of mod reviews I making for my Youtube channel.
Keep in mind, though, that there *is* thermal decay, so just shutting everything off wont make you suddenly disappear, there's a small cool-off period.
Numerous bug fixes as well
Your ship only generates heat based upon power being used, not it's theoretical maximum. So if you're always pushing 1 TW...well, that's a lot of heat! But if you cruise along with things shut down, less heat, less detection range!
Thanks
