@SimplyFenske So changing a tree to a prop? Configurations are immediately saved whenever you make a change, so you're always working on the live version.

So one thing I'm realizing is that I feel as though things like changing a "bush" to a "long riding fence" doesn't save in a configuration as reliably as when I add props and trees to an asset. Also is there a way to manually save progress made to an existing configuration or do we just have one loaded up, work on it, and leave it alone?

So I actually figured out what the issue was. Some buildings when you place down a prop and/or tree don't necessarily start counting from one. They may not even start counting from the number of already existing props/trees on the building. What some do is start counting from like 56 which means you can only place like 7 props or trees until it hits capacity. For the work around I'll often change existing items to the ones I want. It also took me a hot minute and loading all my configuration to understand how to set up, save and not overwrite configuration info for each map, But I got it, I also used some empty configuration saves with titles of basic instructions to remind me what to press and what not to press.

So I'm having difficulty wherein I will use BOB to fix up a residential property to add and change props and trees. At some point, for a handful of buildings it will just stop working and not let me add anymore to the building I'm working on (even when it's way less then 64 props and/or trees) and will only let me change or delete existing items. Even after deleting an item it will not let me add a new item in it's place. I'm fixing up a neighborhood of houses and while on a particular house it stop working, I click the next house and it works fine, then for the next one it may work well for awhile before randomly not allowing further additions. any thoughts?

@PKtheEclipseGeek Unfortunately, that's not currently possible. If you really need something different, the least-painful way (which is still painful) to do it is to create a custom asset for those individual segments.

Is there a way for me to just change only one prop in a network without changing all the others in the same networks? For example: I want to change a traffic light at one intersection but not the similar traffic lights at other intersections. How can I do that?

@cardvillain Use the options in BOB to hide tree and prop ruining. Hide It should detect BOB and not interfere.

I do use Tree Control.. My issue is the ruining. So, if I have Tree Control, Hide It, and BOB how should I set my ruining so the game does not crash?

Tree Anarchy is obsolete. Use Tree Control.

@spH3RiCal Not with networks, no, this is for props and trees. If you're wanting to do advanced modifications to the prefabs then the best thing to do might be make your own custom prefab; otherwise, just overlap them manually. Intersection Marking Tool and Network Tool might also help you out a lot there.

Can I add a guardrail network to a road with this mod? I am doing it with props right now but it looks a bit funny when there is some elevation.

@nayR The Z offset is a hard limit of the game. Can you post screenshots of the multiple props?

@GalaKitty There are inbuilt prop packs available for American road signs to make it a bit easier, if that helps. See the Baisc BOB guide linked at the top of the description above for more info.

@Quiotell You can add props and trees to networks and buildings with this mod. If you just want things on one street, then manually add them using Prop Control, Tree Control, and/or Network Anarchy.

Hello everyone, I wanted to ask if there is a mod not for replacement, but for putting some kind of props and trees on all streets and buildings (PS: you can add a function to change something on one street and not on all thx)

@rob.luttge There is always a log; a log is generated whenever you open the game, even if you do nothing else.

If BOB isn't showing up then my guess is that Steam has randomly deleted it from your system, even if you're still subscribed (this is a known bug with Steam introduced in a recent Steam update). Have you tried unsubscribing and resubscribing?

Also, I know you'll need a output log, however, there is no error nor a log. The mod just doesn't show up.

Hi all, are there possibly known issues that prohibit BOB to show up in de mod listing? Also SKYVE apparently does not 'see' BOB. It used to work fine but maybe additional mods cause the conflict? The game works fine but I got used to detailing with BOB :-). All help appreciated!

@etristram You'd need to provide specific details about your case so that I can try to reproduce it (exactly which road, exactly which bench, exactly which streetlight, and which replacement mode you were using).

For adding props, make sure you're in the individual replacement mode, and that the asset doesn't already have 64 props or trees (that's the maximum limit).

Hello, ive been having some issues with the mod, where everything that i modified on a building on the precedent save, gets completely ignored when i reload that save, i mean, it says on BOB that it was modified, but i hate to redo the whole thing.... is there any idea why it does this? thx in advance

Hello Mr. Algernon, and thank you for everything you have done for the CS community. I am experiencing an issue with rotating items on park roads, where my changes won't save. I have replaced a streetlight with a bench, which landed 90 degrees perpendicular to the pathway. I am unable to rotate it correctly, reduce its probability, or make any other changes that will stick. Perhaps I should say I am able to do all these things, but when I click the green check mark, it reverts to the 90 degree rotated bench. I am unable to switch the prop back to the original.

I am also at a loss as to how to add a prop, rather than replacing one. For instance, I would have liked to keep the original streetlight and merely add a bench, but several of the icons in the center of the UI, including the plus sign, are greyed out. Any idea why this might be?

Hey algernon...First... Thanks for all you do for the CS community... I don't have the faintest when it comes to coding... and what you are able to do is true wizardry from my perspective. Second... I have a thought... is there any way to code the ability to have a button to press while in BOB that creates a text file log of the item to to a list used for prefab skipping?. I actually have some other quality of life ideas that (I believe) BOB may have an already established good foundation for and {?easily?) implemented in the tool-set. If feasable I think it would be a HUGE quality of life mod. Thanks again for all you do algernon!

I have a problem with the intersection of traffic lights, when rotating the other traffic light in front it rotates in the same direction as the intersection... How do I change this

There needs to be an option to replace something for only one instance. Not the entire map. Im trying to replace traffic lights per intersection, but this mod doesn't allow that. I'll try and look for BOB alternatives that will achieve the needed functionality, though I doubt one exists. To be clear, this is not a city vs city issue. This is a single instance issue.

For me, it seems like the BOB settings I'm using for one of my cities is actually having an impact in my other cities; is there a setting I'm missing that would help me make sure that a change I'm making in one city stays in that city? (By city, I mean completely different save files).
