@WengoLoco Changing trees on buildings will affect that building in any save where you're using the same config.

Hi, when I try to use this mod, I get the error: exception reading texture file BOB-PropTreeSmall.png. Reinstalling the mod doesn't help.

@wuyi0713 Unfortunately, it appears the your BOB configuration file has been corrupted. You'll need to delete it (C:\Users\wuyi0\AppData\Local\Colossal Order\Cities_Skylines\BOB-config.xml) and re-do your settings. It's not clear what caused that, but run a disk scan to make sure that your filesytem is okay.

I note that the 'PollutionRemoverMod' (Pollution, Death, Garbage and Crime Remover Mod) is also showing corruption to its settings file. Mind you, that mod is also hopelessly out-of-date and is ALSO throwing a number of other errors - you should remove it and replace it with a mod that works properly on the current game version.

Hi, when I logged into the game it says an exception occurred and all the bob replacements were reverted to the original settings. The error message asks me to send you the output log file and here it is.

@Bababooey No, unfortunately. The workaround is to use Procedural Objects instead, or to use Intersection Marking Tool's decorative prop functions.

@Starky You can change a single prop, but the same change will apply to all identical segments on the map. Due to game limitations you can't do that only on one single individual segment. I did try implementing that, but it was too unstable and broke too many things.

I have a recent problem. BOB loads and the changes I've made to buildings appear, but I cannot open the BOB window and its options are completely blank. ALT-B does not work either. Any thoughts on what might be causing this and how to fix it?

Hi, I want to use the function that automatically replaces the missing tree assets with the vanilla trees when reading the game save files, instead of deleting all the missing tree assets.
I remember this function was used before, but I can't find it in BOB and Tree Control at present. Do you have any suggestions?

@Skeetboi_Skeet Then it hasn't downloaded; that's a Steam issue. Try unsubscribing/resubscribing, restarting your Steam client, and/or using Skyve to force the download.

@algernon @bsbrdv thanks so much both of you! I did what you said & also disabled the enforce hiding props option in Hide It, and that solved it. Reloaded the game with BoB subscribed again and all props are gone (thankfully did not even lose any of the modifications I had made!) I am a happy man! :D

I am not saying I found a solution. But this is what happened when I unsubscribed from Bob, made changes with Hide It, and resubscribed to Bob:
With Bob gone I went into Hide It options, selected Hide Road Decorations to remove the No Parking boxes that blocked parking areas(those were the things that came back when I reloaded CS. With Bob still unsubscribed the Road decorations were still gone! Yay! But now gates were missing. They were gates I placed at a football field. I could not reinsert them. Everytime I reinserted it, it disappeared. I had to resubscribe to Bob to be able to place the gates again. When I checked the Road Decorations, they were still gone. So it appeared Hide It was able to maintain ownership and leave those decorations hidden as I had tried to accomplish before.
Still using Bob with that in mind.

I am having the same problem as brunoglopes96. I just got back into the game a few days ago and it was not happening prior to my absence. I'll check my mods and settings but like I said something changed to cause this I am sure.

@brunoglopes96 In that case, the next thing to check for is any possible mod interference. Does it still happen if you have ONLY Loading Screen Mod, Harmony, and BOB enabled in Skyve (or subscribed)?

@algernon yes, exactly! Like, closing the game off and loading back in always causes the mods to pop back in. And thanks for the warning, I am aware of that! I never exit to the main menu and reload, which is why this is a weird bug. It's been going on for a while, and Skyve shows no conflicts between any of my mods and BoB :(

@brunoglopes96 By 'reload', do you mean exiting to the desktop first and restarting the game before loading again? Just making sure that you're aware that you should never reload from within the game, as that causes mods to break.

Hey, I'm having an issue where, every time I reload the game, all the props that I removed from buildings pop back in. If i open the BOB menu, it shows the correct options and if I click on the removed props, they disappear again. But I have to do it every time I reload the game for every single building. Is there a known fix for this?

@nicholas_sloan The best way is to use the configuration file management option to associate a particular BOB configuration to a save. You can access the configuration controls via the options panel.

Hello. I recently subscribed to this mod and I've really been enjoying it, however, I noticed that edits made with it impact all saves (e.g. if I replace the trees in a park in my tropical city with palm trees, that same park in my boreal city also now has palm trees). Is there a way to turn this off?

@SimplyFenske So changing a tree to a prop? Configurations are immediately saved whenever you make a change, so you're always working on the live version.

So one thing I'm realizing is that I feel as though things like changing a "bush" to a "long riding fence" doesn't save in a configuration as reliably as when I add props and trees to an asset. Also is there a way to manually save progress made to an existing configuration or do we just have one loaded up, work on it, and leave it alone?

So I actually figured out what the issue was. Some buildings when you place down a prop and/or tree don't necessarily start counting from one. They may not even start counting from the number of already existing props/trees on the building. What some do is start counting from like 56 which means you can only place like 7 props or trees until it hits capacity. For the work around I'll often change existing items to the ones I want. It also took me a hot minute and loading all my configuration to understand how to set up, save and not overwrite configuration info for each map, But I got it, I also used some empty configuration saves with titles of basic instructions to remind me what to press and what not to press.

So I'm having difficulty wherein I will use BOB to fix up a residential property to add and change props and trees. At some point, for a handful of buildings it will just stop working and not let me add anymore to the building I'm working on (even when it's way less then 64 props and/or trees) and will only let me change or delete existing items. Even after deleting an item it will not let me add a new item in it's place. I'm fixing up a neighborhood of houses and while on a particular house it stop working, I click the next house and it works fine, then for the next one it may work well for awhile before randomly not allowing further additions. any thoughts?

@PKtheEclipseGeek Unfortunately, that's not currently possible. If you really need something different, the least-painful way (which is still painful) to do it is to create a custom asset for those individual segments.

Is there a way for me to just change only one prop in a network without changing all the others in the same networks? For example: I want to change a traffic light at one intersection but not the similar traffic lights at other intersections. How can I do that?

@cardvillain Use the options in BOB to hide tree and prop ruining. Hide It should detect BOB and not interfere.

Tree Anarchy is obsolete. Use Tree Control.
