On the other hand, the sensor ranges all seem too short, no idea if that was a patch that broke it or what. Set front range to 0.3 on the bottom and 0.6 on top.
That is odd. I tried pasting it into a new world but there is no issues with it on my end. Only time it starts to drop is if I put a thruster on the tools pod but it stops again if I remove the thruster.
I can only guess that subgrids possibly act differently on different computers and specs. =S
Only "Weld" blocks should interact with the welder so the error must be in one of them.
For example the "weld" sensor should turn on the "TB Trigger Weld" block on it's second function.
And the "TB Trigger Weld" should turn the welder ON/OFF.

If everything but the tools are setup up after construction then you can follow the steps in the Rundown video above (The configuration setup starts at around 3:05).
It's so obvious that I'm kickin' myself for not having come up with it, lol!
You know, that's actually a pretty good idea. I do have a lot of ships from WHI and a collection might help a bit.
Just a suggestion though.
Really though I popped one of these out of our printer in survival a few days ago, threw an identical arm together and fixed the timers. This thing works quite nicely.
Gotta try and finda way to redisgn the cockpit then. Sorry bout that.
