Seconded. The negatives far outweigh the positives on most of the upgrades as of now.

The idea of this mod is really cool, but like many others, I feel that the negative effects are much more significant than the positives. There's really no reason to "upgrade" the units when it is more of a detriment to their stats than anything else. The Greenskin's upgrades don't have any negatives and are balanced just fine.

Any1 experiencing a weird bug where giving the upgrade Inspiring Aura for Elves actually slows down the unit + all units around and gives them speed of 3? This started happening as of today

for anyone trying to use this with Sons of Asuryan, since that one already has implemented Anvil of Vaul - just mod this pack file and replace hef_ithilmar with hef_resource_ithilmar in 2 or 3 databse entries - its a 2 minute fix

Hey appreciate the hard work, I just have a question. Have you considered lowering the buffs and getting rid of the negative effects? (Or a version without negatives) It is called "seeking perfection" after all. and negative effects imply well, "imperfection" haha. I just find it very difficult to justify getting any of the upgrades because the downsides are very restrictive. For example, it limits which of the upgrades you could feasibly choose for a unit, based on the role that unit serves, rather than allowing for more freedom, Im feeling a bit more restricted in how I can upgrade my units, because their roles are already set, and the negatives would just make them no longer as good at their pre-defined role.

Either way, I can tell you did a lot of work creating this mod, and hats off to you. It's just my two-cents; take it or leave it.

Loved this and thanks for the effort mate. Are you thinking about making another mod like this for tomb kings, beastmen, dawi or norsca? I'm trying to add every faction inngame this mechanic and found some other mods but those factions still need one. If you are interested in any of those, please let us know!

@ me IIamo sk: I think all upgrades are worth their negative effects. If you want a version with stronger effects, you can test the previous one:

Can you decrease some of the negative effects? I understand balance but a lot of these options basically force me to choose only one option per unit thats not too negative on the unit

@ron_anglee I use both and it's OK. But Son of Asuryan does not compatible with Anvil of Vaul
