@EZ88 thanks for bringing back childhood memories. My grandparents used to have a small allotment like that in the 90s. I can also confirm that no water requirement is realistic - we were able to keep it running all season with just a few barrels collecting rainwater.

I appreciate the constraints of time for modding. I have my share of past mods on other games that I couldn't keep maintaining after sharing it (talking about Nexus, Fallout series and Skyrim).

Anyway I made my changes for personal use on the "Vegetable Gardens", the trouble is to get the right balance on resources produced. In real life well organized gardens can produce quite a lot but I am terrible in maths.

Keep all my suggestions as ideas and don't worry about implementing it if you don't have time right now.

Hi Some_Warrior! Yeah that would be cool, I made the hunting towers to make some meat. It's been too long since I've worked on these buildings but go ahead and mod it yourself. Happy you like them. Might make some more in the future but I got too little time at the moment.

First, tx for the mods and all wonderful work!

Although I am mostly vegetarian, this game needs some meat so I suggest "dropping a few chickens" as in real life and have the gardens produce a bit of meat too (I know it requires more electricity for cold storage...

Anyway it's an easy implementation and I will change it for my personal use.

Ah very cool ZILonaut! Thank you, and indeed it is not meant for late game but more for small villages. I might implement your changes and disable the pollution too but atm I have little time

This is for early game if you build everything yourself.
In early game you have no chemicals but wood.

I changed the building.ini in my game to adjust it to seasons.
Works great.

#Production/Consumption
$CONSUMPTION wood 0.01
$PRODUCTION food 0.02

#Heating
$HEATING_DISABLE

I think it would be more logical if the building consumed some chemicals (as fertilizers), instead of wood

The upcoming version has a new setting for "seasonal" buildings (take a look in the playground_football.ini for example — "$SEASONAL_CLOSE_IF_TEMP_BELLOW"). These buildings could use is too and produce food only during the warm season (the production amount might need to be increased though to compensate winter-time).

This would be nice if it had a factory / forklift connection so it could be it could be linked directly to a small shop without having to use a truck.

Yeah but it's cheap and small. Food in the game grocery store also doesnt deplete very fast for a small village. For bigger cities I recommend regular farms

You need to pick up the food and deliver it to the grocery store. Would be cool if they could pick it up here but thats not possible in the current game

Do I need to have a separate grocery store, and truck to deliver to it, or can the customer just get food from here?

Hi Defacto, the pollution comes with the smoke emitter from the pipe. There might be a way to disable this,I also dont like the pollution but I do want the smoke. I'll look into it this weekend

Could you remove pollution production from this asset? It makes little sense for a residential vegetable garden to pollute and it makes it hard to integrate into residential areas.

Ahhh Im stunned nobody else made something like that . According to lenins novaya ekonomicheskaya politika (NEP) the unions and bonds between the people need more focus . So I really missed something like a dacia or union farm
