The mod works fine as it is. If you had friendlies or even pawns constantly watching the whole map as home area for fires, I imagine it would be a lag/ticks nightmare.

It also encourages the player to further watch their surroundings (I removed alerts for raids, for example), and to be generally smarter in playing the game.

If you need friendlies to help, paint home area around fire. Remove it once the fire is extinguished. It's as simple as that.

Since friendlies are programmed to only fight fires inside the player home area, the visiting caravan I had did nothing about the roaring fire consuming half of the map and coming towards my base. Only after it had reached us did they start doing something. I wouldn't exect them to care for the entirety of the map, but while the fire was coming, they kept standing on top of it like a bunch of morons...

So with the launch of the smurf mod, I gonna divert my resources and time on other stuffs and my professional work until funding raising targets are met.

a sincere thank you, WalkingProblem. no more will I have to witness my allies loitering indifferently around my burning base while my remaining, half crippled pawns fail miserably at controlling the flames and eventually perish in superheated rooms

@WalkingProblem Do you know if you'll be updating this mod? I really like it and am hoping you will. I'd totally offer to help you but unfortunately I know nothing about mods or how to make them. I wish I did and could help update all the mods I have that are still not up to 1.2. Anyway I appreciate your mod and would really love to see it updated. Thank you for making it for us!

@kpunk21 - I added a painthreshold check. So if they are closed to their painthreshold (which means they are in quite an amount of pain) - they will not fight fire. Its just "a little more careful" thats all... not by much.

Because if its "as long as they are injured" - after a firefight, usually everyone is injured. So thats not a solution. You see if it is better. (already updated)

Thanks! I'll definitely sub once the mentioned problems are fixed. They may be little, but they disturb the immersion and will harm the faction relation if friendly pawns manage to get killed in the process.

I def don't like it when one of the friendlies I saved decides they want to fight a fire 100 tiles away with 13% Moving. Maybe exclude injured/heavily injured pawns?

@WalkingProblem, Orion generally avoids addressing conflicts like this on his end. The Locks mod handles Visitor pawns. Maybe it's already solved there.

@Anvil Pants - hmm... The code fix would have to be asking allies to respect our door marking... I wonder who should be fixing that. Hospitality or Me. =x
