The mod works fine as it is. If you had friendlies or even pawns constantly watching the whole map as home area for fires, I imagine it would be a lag/ticks nightmare.

It also encourages the player to further watch their surroundings (I removed alerts for raids, for example), and to be generally smarter in playing the game.

If you need friendlies to help, paint home area around fire. Remove it once the fire is extinguished. It's as simple as that.

Since friendlies are programmed to only fight fires inside the player home area, the visiting caravan I had did nothing about the roaring fire consuming half of the map and coming towards my base. Only after it had reached us did they start doing something. I wouldn't exect them to care for the entirety of the map, but while the fire was coming, they kept standing on top of it like a bunch of morons...

So with the launch of the smurf mod, I gonna divert my resources and time on other stuffs and my professional work until funding raising targets are met.

I'm so pissed every time they just leave my colonists to die, when they are just stand around and watch....

Thus this mod. I'm surprised how well it worked out =}
