@Andrea -- Thank you. I'll update. :smileyflag:
Andrea 7 Apr, 2023 @ 11:17pm
Hi LemonsterOG BloodyPenguin is back and updated his mod Extra Landscaping Tools. It is now compatible with Hubs & Transport. :-)
LemonsterOG  [author] 28 Oct, 2022 @ 11:01am
Thank you for letting me know. I will remove it from this collection.

Be advised that it is still listed as broken here which is where I got the information from originally to add it to the collection. I have no control over that discussion thread, so you'll need to contact someone there to have it removed on their end.
I've updated https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1737575423 to be compatible with Plazas & Promenades. It's also green in Compatibility Report again. Please consider removing it from this collection.

@StayHungryStayFoolish -- That's what you wanna see...all green pluses.
StayHungryStayFoolish 2 Oct, 2021 @ 3:57am
After subscribing more than 150 mods and 15k assets, I see only green plus, in each line. Lucky me.
MaxFX 13 Sep, 2021 @ 7:07am
Awesome, thanks! I'll await.
LemonsterOG  [author] 13 Sep, 2021 @ 5:45am
@MaxFX -- I've reached out for additional information. I hope to have an answer for you shortly.
MaxFX 13 Sep, 2021 @ 5:12am
@LemonsterOG: Very nice and handy collections! BIG thanks for putting these together!!

Got a question though; I've used a road-asset in an intersection-asset I've created and published on the Workshop. This road-asset is part of the 'OST2 Mass Transit pack', which is in this 'broken asset collection'.

So far, I haven't encountered any problems with it. I've even used my extensive and incredible analytic skills to view any problems with it in my logfiles. So I haven't got a clue...

I see the 'OST2 Stock Road pack' listed as broken on the Github page you've linked above the collection, but not the Mass Transit pack.

I do not want other players subscribing to a broken asset (and possibly experience issues with their saves/cities because of it) because they want to use my asset. Could you tell me if it's ok to use this asset?

Here's the link to my asset: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2597337405

@asterisk11231 -- First, thanks for taking the time to recheck everything and providing your feedback. For now, I'll keep things as is.

Second, "PEBCAK" An oldie but goodie.

@Chamëleon -- Thanks for jumping in to help explain the issue(s).
codewitch 27 Nov, 2020 @ 8:04am
A CTD, from a programming POV, is unmistakably an error, admittedly solvable with PEBKAC, that is the responsibility of the developer to fix, in this case, provide error handling and user messaging - likely, missing an asset flag or removing an include that was not meant to be.
codewitch 27 Nov, 2020 @ 8:01am
Does it deserve a footnote? Yeah, maybe, but it's not worth your time.
codewitch 27 Nov, 2020 @ 8:00am
@LemonsterOG - Keep it the same. I re-read a few times, I misunderstood the source material from TM:PE's (redlinked) Wiki.

It describes: "Related error: Exception: BuildingInfo ..._Data failed"

It should probably be: "Causes a crash to desktop instead of throwing an error related to missing DLC"

I was also unaware, from this description, that this is different then how missing DLC is usually reported. I suspect it is missing a flag on the asset.
LemonsterOG  [author] 27 Nov, 2020 @ 7:52am
@asterisk11231 and @Chamëleon --

If they're throwing errors, even if only in certain situations, and can clearly be corrected, that seems to me they're currently broken.

I can certainly move them from this "broken" collection to my "problem" collection. It already contain some that throw errors in certain situations, which I explain in the collection description.

Thoughts?
Chamëleon TBN 27 Nov, 2020 @ 7:38am
The list LemonsterOG used as a base to create this collections (linked in the description) do Not Stars it as 'totally broken' and i understand your 'need'. But If LemonsterOG wants to Change the collection to Match this, you need to discuss with him :) additionally all such Lists are never 100% solution....
codewitch 27 Nov, 2020 @ 4:29am
If it's a DLC flag, than yeah, that's probably it.
codewitch 27 Nov, 2020 @ 4:29am
Chamëleon, Interesting, but I don't think that an asset creator, without a mod to check dependencies, would have the power to do anything - and if anything, that's CO's issue. Possibly some incorrect setting in the asset (in the asset) itself for which DLC is required? Either way, the list does say *broken* but if it's listed as a "Working with the DLC", is that truly a warning treated as an error (as they should be)? This collection would be very useful as a way to check if you've picked one up by accident and possibly as a way to mass-unsubscribe (in self-executed JavaScript maybe?) but, if it contains multiple states of "wrong", than for machine-automated error checking, then it's a little less useful.
Chamëleon TBN 27 Nov, 2020 @ 4:22am
@asterix11231 - you are right, they are working if the DLC is available... but if not it a) they will not work [logically] and b) it might even crash the game. We had this several times and normally an asset based on a missing DLC should throw an error, not load and thats it... but not causing a crash.
codewitch 26 Nov, 2020 @ 6:03am
The Realist HWY Project is listed as working but requiring Mass Transit DLC:

Realist HWY Ramp Project RHT(right hand traffic) - requires Mass Transit DLC
Realist HWY Ramp Project LHT (left hand traffic) - requires Mass Transit DLC

CreativeDEX's intersections generally require prop snapping/prop anarchy etc
Sasquatch 22 Nov, 2020 @ 4:34am
@LemonsterOG __ Here's the list from the other day; https://ufile.io/jxiwr702

Of course, it's changed by now. Some of those mods are disabled, some have never even been enabled.
LemonsterOG  [author] 18 Nov, 2020 @ 8:54am
Steam does not let the recipients of awards know who gave it to them, so whomever did award this collection,

:ai_flare: THANK YOU :ai_flare:

It really does mean something to me.
LemonsterOG  [author] 18 Nov, 2020 @ 8:53am
@Sasquatch -- There are instructions on how to post your mod compatibility report can be found here in the "Sharing Your Mod Compatibility Report" section.
Sasquatch 18 Nov, 2020 @ 4:51am
@LemonsterOG -- I have 127 mods installed. Was going to post the list, but don't see a way to put it in a "code" box. Seems a bit excessive to just post it in a comment.
LemonsterOG  [author] 17 Nov, 2020 @ 11:10am
@Sasquatch -- It really is a great tool.
Sasquatch 17 Nov, 2020 @ 11:06am
@LemonsterOG -- I know it doesn't do anything automatically. I spent a fair bit of time going through the list. It's not perfect, tons of things haven't been tested yet.
LemonsterOG  [author] 17 Nov, 2020 @ 9:10am
@Sasquatch -- Auto Repair doesn't "automatically" do anything. It just shows in the report if mods are compatible with the base game. It don't show all the conflicts each may have with each other. There are endless variations of mod use for any one player, so only an experienced eye can spot conflicts.

The only thing I know for sure about Editors is that you should only be subscribed to mods directly related to that specific editor. Typically, mods will show on their page if they work in a specific editor. If no editor is mentioned in a mod's name or description, then the mod is for the game only and should not be subscribed while in editors. Disabling mods is not enough, as some mods still effect the game even if disabled. You must unsubscribe. It has to do with how the game loads mods
Sasquatch 17 Nov, 2020 @ 3:42am
@LemonsterOG -- I never get any errors. The only crashes are the asset editor, which seems to be caused by some specific network. I'll get a report from Mods Listing in a bit. I don't expect much since I have used Auto Repair to weed out incompatible mods.
LemonsterOG  [author] 16 Nov, 2020 @ 3:25pm
@Sasquatch -- There's nothing odd about the asset that I can see. It's just roads. I'd like to take a look at your list of mods to see if I can spot something that might, for whatever reason, be causing your issue. It's at least a quick glance "under the hood" to see what's going on.

Oh...if you actually get an error or crash, your logs would be very helpful.

Again, I'm happy to look at your logs. Just follow the link I previously provided for instructions.

I'm really curious.
Sasquatch 16 Nov, 2020 @ 3:16pm
@LemonsterOG : Well that was certainly not the result I expected. I'm running 100+ mods and some 1,300 assets (2,130 loaded by LSM just now)... this is the only thing I have any trouble with. Seems like a truly bizarre bug that would only effect one random asset. But definitely not so bothersome as to justify the troubleshooting necessary. Thanks for the effort.
LemonsterOG  [author] 16 Nov, 2020 @ 12:09pm
@Sasquatch -- Ok. I tested that asset as follows:

Loaded the game with only the asset and the Fine Road Anarchy 2 mod (required to force placement of the asset).
= No Issues/Errors
Saved the game, exited to desktop and reloaded the savegame.
= No Issues/Errors

Loaded the game with the asset and these 158 mods (which I use to play all my current cities).
= No Issues/Errors
Saved the game, exited to desktop and reloaded the savegame.
= No Issues/Errors

This indicates the issue is with your game specifically. It would require a lot of troubleshooting to resolve it. If you'd like, you can follow the directions here in the "Game Errors, Freezes or Crashes" section and I can try and identify the issue, but I make no promises.
Sasquatch 16 Nov, 2020 @ 3:04am
This is the asset I mentioned on the other thread a few days ago. LSM says it fails every time I try to load it. But, more importantly, LSM says it fails even when I'm not subscribed to it. I'm sure I plopped it down to look at it once. But it has never been part of any map I've played, so I don't understand why it tries to load. And I don't understand why it fails since it's just networks.

LemonsterOG  [author] 30 Sep, 2020 @ 10:37pm
@wb0mpb -- Glad it helped. I kept running into them too, so I thought it would be much easier to have a collection to keep track of them. It helps others by just looking at the collection and if you'r subscribed to something in the list, just unsubscribe! Easy! :smileyflag: Thanks for taking the time to comment. I do appreciate it.
wb0mpb 30 Sep, 2020 @ 6:26pm
I can not thank you enough for doing all of this. I wish I would have found it days ago. I have been going crazy finding my bad mods. And your asset collections are very cool.

@xxx78 -- You're welcome....and welcome to the game.

Thanks.

@[PR1]^Dr. Terr, Ph.D. -- I appreciate your comments. I'm glad you like it. :lolz:
[PR1]^Dr. Terr, Ph.D. 10 May, 2020 @ 6:26am
I didn't use the "Unsubscribe all" btw because I wanted to check each of the old mods' pages to see what alternatives people recommend. But still nice that the option is there :)
[PR1]^Dr. Terr, Ph.D. 10 May, 2020 @ 6:25am
Thanks for the list. Very clever to do it like this, as you only have to scroll down and look for any check marks. I found that I was still subscribed to several broken ones almost immediately :)

@☣ Jelly ☣ -- I'm so glad it helped. Thanks for the rating/fav.
