Oh it seems that the smaller mine entrance is still in the base game as a rare variant of the normal mine entrance, sorry about the confusion. I thought the small one got removed just like all the other cool stuff from older versions of the game.

The entrance is different, its small and goes straight down instead of first going down stairs.

@Time_pug What differences were in the 2016 core fragment mine?

Only a few guns (like 12) use ammo, and ammo is entirely optional even for guns that do use them since the gun will use energy (like normal guns) if you hold shift or do not have ammo

The ammo is basically extra damage or an extra effect, not a limit on how much you can shoot

@PrinceJaxonHellsing™ You jhave some other mod which adds its own steel. Betabound's steel is unlocked by using the molten core from the vanilla Dreadwing quest at an Inventor's Table

I can't seem to make the right steel for the stirring spoon. The steel I can make is completely different, as it is a common version of steel, and the texture/icon is entirely different. How do I get the right steel for the stirring spoon?

@silver Solova Ah ok. Im running betabound with a few other things and I wanted to re-add that kind of weapon back in with another mod I saw, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doubling up on mods. One mod I use Lostbound there's a small faction on those city planets that use undroppable versions as far as im aware so that's why i thought i'd ask before going for another mod

@Marek1shtar I haven't seen or heard of laser guns with bouncing projectiles, but if you mean the little bouncy bluish-white balls that turn into a little electric explosion, Betabound adds that projectile back to grenade launchers! It also adds back in the Alien Laser gun- the purple one, but its laser don't bounce

Okay, thanks for the information! I'm currently playing on FezzedOne's server (The triangle RP); I find his modpack excellent and I wanted to make a somewhat private version using Betabound as the base mod. But if the issue is "political," I don't want to push it! Thanks for replying anyway!

@Lyroyd Hi, no problem- I'm very glad you like it! I recommend using OpenStarbound instead, which Betabound is 100% compatible with.

xStarbound breaks several things this mod uses- creating incompatibilities- as others (the majority of whom have since moved to using OpenStarbound) have stated. I won't investigate any incompatibilities with xStarbound (they aren't allowed to make compatibility patches and such for it) because of the transphobia, bigotry, and extreme aggressiveness of the person who leads it. I recommend using oSB instead. Many of the cool things in xStarbound are copied from oSB but credited as being xStarbound with no specification as to what was changed.

xStarbound is also infested with incompatibilities for other mods as well- the patches listed on its page aren't all of them; the assets for it have patches built in (all the patches can stop working at any time if the original mod is changed). oSB does not have these issues as it cares about mod compatibility.

Hey Silver! Thanks for this mod! It's amazing and brings back so many memories of my early days playing Starbound. Tell me, is it compatible with Xstarbound? There are some features of that launcher that I'd love to use with Betabound!

Right now I just want to know which other NPCs are from this mod.
I know there is the cheese merchant and a Miner tenant.
Then the Hostile NPCs I know are bunker guard and bunker pyro

@ONI-ARDA It's compatible with basically everything ever, including those mods (even if the FU people lie to you about it- they have issues with me). Betabound has tons of compatibility checks and error safeguards. If you ever find a bug or error with my mods, let me know and I'll try to fix them

@❀♥.°Rocio°.♥❀ Glad you like it! You can download the mod's source from Github, put it in your mods folder, and remove lines 30 through 41 in `/weather.config.patch` to remove the hail from any planets in areas of the universe that have not been generated yet

Hi, Im not sure where to reach out to with this question cuz I think it might be the FU races without FU that might've caused the weird bug but I know this one does some block changes. I found two blocks that turn into Perfectly Generic Items upon being mined so far it's unrefined conglomerate and unrefined desite, I think normally one turns into cobblestone when mined but im not sure if the other one was added or not, but either way i think it might be the FU races but im still reaching out here too in case

@Calamity yes. you will need to explore far away areas of the universe for certain things (new ores/biomes/dungeons) to generate though, but the mod has more stuff than that, so even if you dont explore far away areas, there's still a lot to do with the mod

Hi Silver Sokolova, I'm writing to you today not because of a problem or a crazy idea, but rather because of a request.

You see, I've seen that, at least regarding ambient melodies, both the Ancient Cosmos and Arcana mods allow you to obtain the sheet music to listen to them on the radio (I think Arcana requires an additional mod). But you see, I have two other mods that also add ambient melodies, but I can't hear them on the portable radio. These are Maple32 and Terraria Music Addition (I'm not a Terraria fan, but I do love its melodies). The point is, if you can help me listen to these melodies on the portable radio, or if you can find the sheet music so I can add them to the list, I would be very grateful.

@MoaiGaming I use EPP Bypass Fix with this and it works fine. Betabound doesn't touch any of the files EPP Bypass Fix changes. It must be some other mod causing it.

EPP Bypass Fix does not play well with this mod... even today. i still lose health while both mods are active.

@yamitami Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a reliable way for the game to check for those mods being present. You could make a mod that give the player the distress beacon recipe as a default blueprint, or make the molten core craftable (from like lava and core fragments) and make it part of the server modpack

The item ID is `sb_ironbeacon` for the distress beacon, and `moltencore` for the molten core (it's an unused vanilla item, hence no prefix)

@the h Speak to the outpost penguin mech scientist after unlocking your mech. Make a Brain Extractor at an anvil and use an Iron Tool Table to build an Inactive Robot, which gives you the Processor

Seems incompatible with xstarbound client, it makes player cant be hurt.
