No, weapon addons are purely "cosmetic", meaning that it only changes the model.

Rex's M16 worked really well with them, and realizing the selling point that is the RNG magazines I think those animations would make the said feature to stand out
I don't plan on updating any of my old addons with any new features. However, I am planning on a potential AR-15 style weapon (probably a M4) with the same RNG magazine feature. After all, there are a bunch of different variety of M16 magazines available made by different companies. Though the only issue that I will have to face is actually finding the magazine models that are available.
