I know the author has been working on Vanilla Expanded mods recently. Maybe they could include this in one of them?

今でも待っています!

+1 on this being an awesome mod. Hopefully someone picks it up.
kullenberg83 18 Aug, 2020 @ 8:52am
why havent anyone done a version of this? cant be just me loving it
BlueTressym 6 Aug, 2020 @ 1:13pm
@IIt maybe ask on the RW forum or Discord for help with the bit causing you grief? I'd really love to see this mod updated but I unfortunately lack both the ability to do it myself and the time to learn.
Senacharim 20 Jun, 2020 @ 3:06pm
Well, the code is open--maybe some awesome modder will take on the project of updating this mod to full 1.1 compatibility.
llt 16 Jun, 2020 @ 9:19am
I got this mod to mostly work with 1.1.

Unfortunately I can't get the quality control patching work. The custom transpiler patch don't work anymore because the variable it is trying to access got moved into some kind of delegate according to dnspy.

@XeoNovaDan do you mind I put up a poorly hacked version?
An Author 8 May, 2020 @ 3:38am
A revival of this mod would be great :)
<'##>< 13 Apr, 2020 @ 4:14pm
This mod was perfect for a bit of realism on those smaller construction projects, especially if you wanted to specify which builders for which item types. Sad not to see it in 1.1.
ObscureParticle 11 Apr, 2020 @ 11:02am
Could anyone please update this mod? It was so useful!
AlexandrClibanarius 25 Mar, 2020 @ 8:11am
Drat. I was really hoping this one would get updated, it's such a unique and helpful addition! Does anyone know of an alternative, so that packed-up crap can be built via benches?
XeoNovaDan  [author] 22 Feb, 2020 @ 8:50am
Note for 1.1: This mod will not be updated
SingABrightSong 5 Sep, 2019 @ 1:54am
Just tested it with Multiplayer. No desync issues, but it was seemingly impossible to actually add bills to the workbench.
Dr@g0n 28 Aug, 2019 @ 9:54pm
loving this mod, i need dubs mint menus now. was going to ask for a mod like that! thanks for the good mod and the easy to read description
XeoNovaDan  [author] 25 Jul, 2019 @ 2:51am
@somr - Yep, that is definitely a feature of this mod! Cheers!
fatburner 25 Jul, 2019 @ 12:11am
Love this mod. I can make a bill that makes a bed, and keeps trying until i have x amount of Excellent beds. I dont know if its a coincidence or not, but if the bed isnt excellent quality, the pawn will automatically deconstruct it. Its really neat. +1

bk3000, you're risking more than just fingers. As a subcontractor, believe me, you're also risking eyes, clothes, arms, burns, etc. There's more to it than just fingers, and even the most skilled people have accidents happen to them.
XeoNovaDan  [author] 22 Jul, 2019 @ 2:09am
@bk3000 - I probably won't get around to filters since you can use Dubs Mint Menus' search function as a filter - it'd just be reinventing the wheel in a sense. Powered carpenter's table is an interesting idea and I'll consider it.
bk3000 20 Jul, 2019 @ 2:07pm
I also have a few ideas to expand on this -

1. UI wise some filters might be nice. Granted you can just scroll through categories now with the categories alphabetized, but filtering to a specific category would be useful still. Probably this would be accomplished with a single "Filter" button that pops open a menu to choose.

2. Powered Carpenters Table. It would probably be a lot larger to have a table saw, router bits, etc. I could expect it would be a big table (a group of tables graphically speaking). But the point is that it could produce much faster, at the expense of needing to power it. Perhaps this could also be a risk to your fingers - a risk that is reduced with skill.

XeoNovaDan  [author] 20 Jul, 2019 @ 1:19pm
@Madara Uchiha - Yes, it's functionality added by this mod. It's also limited to carpenter bench recipes so it shouldn't encroach on other mods.

@tonyg100 - Fluffy's work tab is a good workaround. You're right though, an option would be a good idea. Also thanks! Didn't think that my "programmer art" would be considered as something that fits in :P
tonyg100 20 Jul, 2019 @ 11:00am
An option to make construction at the bench prioritize over normal construction would be great. I'd like my skilled constructor to be doing the fancy giant marble table and dining chairs while the peons chip away at laying walls and floors. Right now, my skilled constructor goes out and joins the noobies to do these giant construction jobs and then when they finish, she starts doing the skilled stuff at the bench and now the little plebs have nothing to do.

Does anyone have a good mod or workaround for this? I'm using areas but that is less than ideal as she is my only skilled miner too.

Great mod though! Nice graphics on the bench, fits in well.
Con(troll) Artist 20 Jul, 2019 @ 9:41am
Oh damn. Just saw the update for enabling furniture items to only be craftable at the carpenter's bench. Much appreciation and much love, Xeo!
Madara Uchiha 20 Jul, 2019 @ 7:28am
One of the gifs shows the colonist automatically destruct a stool that came out poor, is this part of the mod? It's not normal workbench behavior.
An Author 18 Jul, 2019 @ 7:29pm
I did notice the pawn taking resources to the bench and then doing nothing, but after a while it sorted itself out.
Proxyer 18 Jul, 2019 @ 4:26am
Thank you for quick works!
XeoNovaDan  [author] 18 Jul, 2019 @ 3:10am
@Proxyer @HawnHan - Thanks! Both have been merged into v1.2.1 which I have just pushed. The priority of actually doing carpentry has also been decreased so that it now sits between delivering resources to frames and deconstruction.
Proxyer 17 Jul, 2019 @ 9:41pm
Hello, author XeoNovaDan.
I update the Japanese translation for v1.2. So I sent Pull request from GitHub. Please confirm and merge. Thank you.
HawnHan 17 Jul, 2019 @ 7:26pm
I translated it into simplified Chinese. If you need it, here [github.com]
neverlamb 17 Jul, 2019 @ 4:09pm
Thank you so much! Keep doing what you're doing, I love it. :)
XeoNovaDan  [author] 17 Jul, 2019 @ 4:07pm
@little lamb luna - Yep, the compatibility issues have been fixed on avil's end

Also thanks to everybody for the support so far and glad that this has improved your experiences!
neverlamb 17 Jul, 2019 @ 3:59pm
I'm curious if this is now compatible with Common Sense? I can't find the same text about it here as yesterday. I really love love LOVE the concept of this mod! Thank you for your love and support and creativity for Rimworld in coming up with something like this. :)
< blank > 17 Jul, 2019 @ 2:24pm
Great mod, hard to believe no one has made this before being how good the idea is
XeoNovaDan  [author] 17 Jul, 2019 @ 12:00pm
Updated to v1.2 - fixed the issue that norline mentioned and added an option to restrict furniture/recreational item production to carpenter tables (disabled by default)
XeoNovaDan  [author] 17 Jul, 2019 @ 10:50am
@norline - Good catch! I will work on fixing this right away. Thanks!
norline 17 Jul, 2019 @ 9:47am
Also - excellent mod, both the idea and the implementation!
norline 17 Jul, 2019 @ 9:44am
Found a bug, I think:
Carpentry recipes involving "small-volume ingredients" seem to require 10x the amount compared to the regular construction recipe. I tried making royal beds, watched as my gold reserves started dwindling *fast* :)
Bluewolf 17 Jul, 2019 @ 8:10am
Time To open up an Ikea shop
XeoNovaDan  [author] 17 Jul, 2019 @ 6:33am
@Sutto - Cheers! Tbh I just took whatever came out in google translate for the crediting :P
Sutto 17 Jul, 2019 @ 5:14am
literally fix: Japanese language should be shown as "日本語". "日本人" means Japanese people ;)
BTW I`m a Chinese lol
XeoNovaDan  [author] 17 Jul, 2019 @ 2:44am
@MLeonhardt - Hmm, I could add a setting for that. It would of course be disabled by default.
Pnoth 17 Jul, 2019 @ 2:09am
Brilliant. just brilliant.
Leonhardt 16 Jul, 2019 @ 7:41pm
Would it be possible to have a version that DOES disable normal furniture crafting? I like the idea of needing a bench to pass produce chairs and tables and such.
Sir Squirrel 16 Jul, 2019 @ 3:17pm
Simple, efficient, glorious!
fatburner 14 Jul, 2019 @ 2:16pm
cool concept. now i can set up bills to make furniture out of all that limestone i have. its all automatic
Con(troll) Artist 13 Jul, 2019 @ 7:18pm
I see. Thanks, Xeo. I may try to fiddle with things to see about doing that myself. I'm not exactly modder-competent.
BanHandled 13 Jul, 2019 @ 2:27pm
One of the reasons I wanted something like this is because often furnature needs to have different materials, but the materials needed could be different types, say metal: steel, plasteel; various stones, etc.
One thing that this mod will allow is for mod makers to create furnature that can utilize multiple different types of materials at the same time. (such as some of those bed mods)
Proxyer 13 Jul, 2019 @ 2:26pm
Thank you for your good work! :HentaiGirlLinda_like:
XeoNovaDan  [author] 13 Jul, 2019 @ 1:30pm
And updated translation has now been pushed on both this and the GitHub release
