the ideas good but the execution is poor.
e.g. doing nothing for 6 turns waiting for aliens to spawn on skyranger down.
A retaliation mission with infinite(?) enemy reinforcements (at least 20+ turns), and you have to kill them all for the mission to end instead of just surviving a few turns. And there aren't even any civilians to protect so you just lose the region if you don't win...
A protect the device -> retrieve object mission where you can just stay at spawn and win barely even fighting anything.
and more...
enemy reinforcements often don't follow the rules in general, instead of showing where they'll spawn a turn before they just immediately spawn, but it's at the start of your turn instead of during advent's turn.
It's just really awkward, especially since I'm using Yellow Alert
Just make sure you:
1. Use the nexus version linked in the description (Alternate Download).
2. Edit out the "convoy" mission in the missions ini. Both versions are buggy.
I'm halfway through a campaign and have had no issues with mission generation or mission difficulty/balance relative to other missions. Loads of fun, especially with mods that add difficulty and variety like ReshiKillim's Mutators.
?
What's really bugging me though is a Resistance Fortress (I think) mission which shows 0 enemies on the Shadow Chamber and crashes every time I try to load it.
- open console
- type X2AllowSelectAll true
- TAB to the Behemoth Tank
- open console again and use "ttc" command to teleport the tank to cursor (set your cursor some tiles before the evac)
- the tank might reset and actually move again, re-triggering the objective
If there are enemies still on the map, use additional command "SkipAI". This skips enemy turns, but not the tank. Not a guarantee that it will work, but it did for me, so maybe it will help someone.
can you update your mod to the newest version on steam, or tell me what i am doing wrong?
alternativly, i would love a mini mod that just gives the option to build that thing that let's you call in reinforcements for 400 supplies
The tank shreds high armor and health points
reinforcements spawn behind you
This mission will take you 45 minutes to an hour, maybe less
To get the tank to evac, you need to go behind the evac at least 12-20 tiles the direction of the tank
Advent also randomly shoots into the void where you can't see, at one point one of them actually killed something, is there actually resistance members that are 'post to be on this mission?

Outside of that, the mod is a 9/10 for me. It´s fun and challenging, adds exciting new items like the beacon and overhaul, it spices up the campaign with the new missions and encounters. It only needs a few improvements to the map pieces and a few visual things, bug fixing and optimization. Strongly recommended for people that like challenge and new experiences.
In fact, mods are free work people do because they like it. This mod hasn't been updated since 2019, so we can assume that the author either lost interest or time to work on this. Being a butthurt dick about it helps nobody.
I have no other mods relating to difficulty/mission types/ AI, anything like that, just cosmetic and ui changes, on just my 3rd mission in a new game and at the time of writing this I am facing 7 faceless, 4 mecs, 3 snakes, 4 of the flamethrower guys, 3 priests, 5 mutons, 3 turrets and their portal is summoning a new wave of 3-4 more enemies every single turn, surely that can't be right
The author has left modding and seemingly deleted their mods from the Nezus mods as well, so it seems there will be no help incoming.
The author of this mod has previously stated that we should go to the nexus website to either post a bug or download an more updated and alternative version of the More Mission Types mod. However, that link is no longer working because the author of the mod on nexusmods.com seemed to have deleted it. Therefore, these bugs will most likely never be remedied, and its a shame given these are game-breaking bugs.
