Solid 6/10. Which is a "no" coming from a big company.

Buggy and unbalanced as all Hell. Let me point out that if you have Jack use Shock Capsule on a Ticker, the game proceeds to absolutely crap itself and locks on the enemy turn because the devs forgot to implement "If AI cannot perform any action, their turn ends".

Customisation is like if Enemy Within got sent to prison. You can change shirt, tattoos, hair... but not skin, gender, voice, or anything else to make your character truly yours.

AI are programmed to have a default bonus to hit you VS you hitting them, which is always set to low. And that's not me being petty, a Scout at point blank flanking a Drone WILL miss, and might even hit their own ally. Because the devs saw the worst part about Wasteland 3 and wanted to make that a whole game.

In missions, you can only restart from the very beginning or a preset checkpoint. Game break during a boss fight? Back to the start, dumbass!

The telegraphing of enemy Overwatch and other attacks is completely off. Sometimes the game will forget to even paint the cone, resulting in Locust just taking random shots at your sniper (and, of course, instantly Critting them). With a later boss fight, the characters treat YOU like an idiot if they get hit, but 50% of the time the boss just attacks without actually telegraphing anything. Sorry I'm not a psychic.

I had to add this in because I forgot; the actual area telegraphing (when it works) is useless. Here's a big circle, in a game where you can move freely. For Overwatch cones you do get a "!" to show if you're going to set it off (sometimes, because sometimes your character moves before shooting, which will trigger Overwatch despite it not saying it will) but for big targeting circles, it's a guessing game.

Mission modifiers and the type of mission aren't restricted. Sounds great, right? No. The "Supply Run" mission type forces you to keep moving past a huge wall of instant death, while picking up crates (which always takes 1 Action at least) AND fighting the Locust, which tend to spam Boomers, Theron Guards and Wretches in this particular mission type - IE, getting thrown around a lot and requiring many shots to bring down. Not undoable normally, but sometimes you get a modifier that means your units only get 2 Action Points. That's barely enough to overtake the death wall, let alone engage or run for crates. God forbid you bring a Heavy.

This game has so much potential. But it well and truly flushes it all down the drain.
