Yo this would be nice for 1.3 as an optional praying item. I hate that there's only the pew, kneel pillow or the carpet thing. We need more basic stuff like this lol

I can confirm that this Mod works in V1.2, but they never face the right way with the Directional Prayer Spot.

Please consider updating this Mod for V1.3 .

I am pretty sure this won't actually work - the 1.1 update changed a Lot of stuff, and I never say down and sorted out what.

The badge tab was blank, no badges were present or able to be selected. Weirdly also the little text notification for events in the top left (eg, "plant died of blight" or similar) also appeared there.

Not on Linux it shouldn't. It's probably causing ...other problems, involving permissions on weird backup files.

It looks like this file /Source/.#Utilities.cs# is causing a disk write error in Steams's workshop download.

Update: I figured out how to do Thoughts, so colonists get happy if they pray in a nice chapel. Next up: more thoughts for more places they pray!

I didn't know that I needed this until I stumbled upon your mod.
I already built a church for my pawns to get married in. Now it can do something else besides just being a beautiful empty room and a tomb for their last husband...

Yeah, I was thinking about how to turn off the display, but haven't poked around the code quite yet.

If there are some option to let you hide prayer spot or display them beneath chair it will be cool. For now it's display above chair make it kind of weird looking.

Definitely coming! Deep storage has many more subscribers and is, tbh, much more necessary for playing for me. It is also, alas, very complicated, so it has taken a while. It is only finally online and hopefully will settle down to stability soon.

yo Vanilla Furniture Expanded includes sitting cushions and modular benches for pews. Plenty of good stuff for your church's seating needs.

Right, those are the two I thought of but they are coupled to new gameplay mechanics. Not aware of any mods that just include them as furniture.

Ya the elona mod has the best altar I think. It's just praying to that altar doesn't give you anything xD

I am starting a new save now and I planned to build a church that does nothing with this mod... However, I can't even find a mod that has good looking altar, shrine or praying pillow. Other than Rim of maddness and Religion.... Most of the furniture mod doesn't have the material to build a church..... Not to mention they dont' even give buff. Is if possible for you to make so that the praying spot itself gives a minor mood buff? Anything between +1~+3 is enough. Or maybe recreation value. Right now, there are really no reason to use it.

I still haven't gotten pawns a bonus from praying in nice surroundings <sigh> I'll still get there.

I don't know where to use this mod other than Rim of Madness Cult... anyone else know any other mod that require pawns to pray? (Tbh, praying doesn't do anything in Rim of Madness anyway...)

Maybe call the ones that dictate which way the pawn faces "Prayer Spot (Directional)" to avoid confusion? Or just make all of them directional? I think that the proper non-denominational "room" designations are “Prayer Room" for someplace inside and "Place of Prayer" for someplace outside, such as a grove of trees. No idea if that second one is useful in that context but there are other contexts, like naming an entire building built specifically for prayer spots or even the prayer spots themselves. Can you add, in an option menu, a slider to adjust how frequently pawns pray, or add unmarked traits that would make a pawn more likely to pray and/or meditate without using up a trait slot?
