@Titan_658, Just look up MrNJersey's tutorials on everything. He's got a radar one. (with a monitor screen) I'm not much of a LUA person, when I get to that stage I'll most likely be downloading and crediting microcontrollors

actually any advice for getting radars to actually pick up objects (other vessels) more reliably?

ah gotcha, I figured something was off, a lot of designs I have subbed to are out dated. Actually in the process of doing a overhaul of a ship that was meant for EA 4.30. Any way good luck with the revamp

Well, this is outdated, it's from a time when Electric motors where more powerful and had less drain. I'm currently working on revamping it for 1.0

Is any one else having the batteries for the engines only last for like 5 secs before dying?

@Sinc, this build still has the water jets which when I first built it did not have a reverse option so the reversing ability came from the small electric motor... which has also changed since building. I don't get much time to go over these builds and update them as fast as the devs bring out new things as I like to play-test and stress test every design. But simply to reverse, it's W/S with the Electric motor on.

seems like the reverse button is not present

a quick check of the electrical loop shows that is indeed the case.

The side electrical connectors are ONLY attached to the generator power system, and do not connect to the engine power system.

idk if you fixed this as well, but I brought a ship to try and juice it up, and connected it to the electrical connector next to fuel.

After 15 minutes of sitting there with the engine running on the other ship pushing power to something, I think the power is going to the generator batteries.

Before teleporting out of rescue 3, I turned off the generator, but left the lights and such on. So that battery was draining, and now its being filled up from the other ship. But I don't think the engine batteries are filling up at all, as the cabin still can't be accessed(buttons don't work as theyre apparently powered by engine battery, not generator). Looking in from the outside, the generator battery dial looks like its maxed, while the engine battery dial hasn't budged.

@Monarchco I found the issue, I feel bad, I missed two electrical connections where it counted, on the button itself and in relay it charges. So ever if it would work, it was only set up for the engines to charge the generator and not the other way around. Emergency batteries looked connected. But were only plugged into the electrics so the cross charge could always work... I'm sorry for that, there is a connecter next to the fuel so you could always bring a ship out to jump it if needed. I just looked at the issue and updated the ship!

@Monarchco There is also an emergeny back up battery group, I believe Rescue 3 was the first vehicle I put it into, it should next to the cross charge as a breaker
Monarchco 7 Mar, 2019 @ 11:30pm
Yeah... pressing it does nothing, just like its not getting power itself.

Just messed up this save as I'm out of engine battery power, with engines off. And no matter how much I press the button, the generator(currently running) and the generators 100% battery won't charge up the engine batteries...

Also, for some reason, both doors to the bridge are running off the engine batteries and no longer work.... Spotlights, etc still work as theyre on electrical.
SgtStuka  [author] 7 Mar, 2019 @ 11:25pm
@Monarchco It simply allows the regular engines to charge the electrics AND/OR the generator to charge the Engines, Hence Cross-Charge. However if it has bugged out I'll look into it when I can.
Monarchco 7 Mar, 2019 @ 11:21pm
How do I use the cross-charge function?

I press the button but nothing happens.

Love the beefy engines of the MID gens, but they are getting a bit heavy. The smaller one sinks currently in flat water and this has no reverse gear right now and the button to charge the engine isn't working, all leading to quick dead batteries that won't charge quickly when using the electric motors. The 1st to 2nd gens seem perfected tho! Loving the interior on this btw nice work so far!
