This mod will not be formally updated to 1.1 because of how I implemented recipes in the main version.
soul.storm.fire 26 Feb, 2020 @ 1:28am
Seems like this mod works in 1.1 without incidents :3

@Fleu De Lynx I worded that a bit unclearly, I'll clean it up; the original 1.0 mod is the one which has mod support (i.e. using sand and crushed rocks if Fertile Fields is installed), this one does not.
Scrungle Bungle 6 Mar, 2019 @ 12:57am
Big fan of this mod, but I have a question!

Forgive me if it's obvious, but the original 1.0 mod said that this one has mod support? What exactly does that mean? Is it compatible with other mods? If so, which?
dninemfive  [author] 30 Nov, 2018 @ 12:10am
@VirtualGaming That might be convenient for you, but I've had multiple save games burned when mods updated in place, and Tynan himself has recommended against it. It's not that bad to unsubscribe to an old mod and subscribe to a new one; in fact, you can even use the B19 version on 1.0 if it's such a pain to you.
Vortek Gamer 29 Nov, 2018 @ 11:12pm
how about on here because i like it keep the mods that is on workshop so they auto update
dninemfive  [author] 29 Nov, 2018 @ 10:55pm
@VirtualGaming It's already updated; you can find it here .
Vortek Gamer 29 Nov, 2018 @ 10:30pm
when you going to update the version?
dninemfive  [author] 18 Oct, 2018 @ 3:29pm
@GLaDToBeStillAlive It should work fine right now, but I'm planning on updating the version for convenience's sake.

More update plans are present in the collection this mod is in.
GLaDToBeStillAlive 18 Oct, 2018 @ 1:00pm
Hey, thanks for making this mod--I really enjoy it. Do you plan to update it for 1.0, or do you expect this version to work fine for the new update?
eGregious 18 Oct, 2018 @ 7:43am
Thanks for this, does what it says on the tin. Makes no sense to me that concrete is made out of metal in vanilla.
dninemfive  [author] 26 Sep, 2018 @ 3:50pm
@Beangroves Yes, concrete is couted as a "stuff" (specifically, a stony one) internally, so you can make walls (and items) with it. This also means it can be used for embrasures and stuffed floors with mods which add those.
Beangroves 26 Sep, 2018 @ 10:43am
does this add concrete walls as well?
Jaxx - pshoooo 19 Sep, 2018 @ 12:09pm
the wealth difference is literally how cost works, you don't just look at the cost of materials that went in, you also look at the work that went in. it's in such small amounts that it would be far more profitable to just work on other things.
Pebbles 7 Sep, 2018 @ 6:29pm
@dninemfive Thank you for the mod and the link!
dninemfive  [author] 7 Sep, 2018 @ 6:25pm
@Trotzke Sorry, I forgot that the base-level wood floor doesn't have 1 beauty as I remembered. Still, concrete still costs far more and the benefit of a concrete floor isn't much better anyway. If you have so many balance problems, try making a patch which overhauls these aspects of my mod. Here's [gist.github.com] an xpath tutorial.
Pebbles 7 Sep, 2018 @ 6:12pm
@dninemfive Ok, May be I'm wrong about steel rarity and value. But what do you mean by "small beauty benefit" of wooden floor? Both modded concrete and wooden floors have beauty 0.

<Operation Class="PatchOperationRemove">
<xpath>*/TerrainDef[defName = "Concrete"]/statBases/Beauty</xpath>
</Operation>

Vanila one has beauty -1. I personally would prefer vanila beauty values.
dninemfive  [author] 7 Sep, 2018 @ 5:33pm
@Trotzke Gonna have to disagree with you there. In most games I tend to have tons more steel than blocks, and that's with a lot of tech mods which increase steel requirements. Plus, the benefit from a concrete floor isn't that valuable altogether - its only advantage over a 3-wood-cost wooden floor is not being flammable, and that wooden floor, in addition to being made of renewable materials, gives a small beauty benefit which outweighs the flammability in most cases.
Pebbles 7 Sep, 2018 @ 5:29pm
@dninemfive Also, it looks like concreate floor is much cheaper in terms of resources than vanila one. Vanila one costs 1 steel, and modified floor costs 1 concrete, and 1 conrete takes near as much work and resources to produce as 1 stone block. And steel is much more rare and valuable then stone blocks. For the value concrete floor provides I think it should cost at least 2 concrete, may be 3.
dninemfive  [author] 7 Sep, 2018 @ 5:18pm
@Trotzke I'll look at a nerf, but given the work and input required to produce concrete, it's not a major imbalance.
Pebbles 7 Sep, 2018 @ 4:46pm
It looks like concreate is very expensive: 2.1 silver compared to stone's 0.9 silver per item even though amount of materials and work is similar. Such expensive material may produce problems with wealth mangement.
dninemfive  [author] 6 Sep, 2018 @ 5:24pm
@AWOLMcLovin That would be an issue with another mod, the refinery is a vanilla building.
AWOLMcLovin 6 Sep, 2018 @ 3:44pm
cant make the refinery
dninemfive  [author] 5 Sep, 2018 @ 8:15pm
@Orange Toaster I'm inclined to agree, if only because it'd be extra work, but I do like having way too many techs so that I don't run out of research options by the mid-lategame.
Orange Toaster 5 Sep, 2018 @ 6:13pm
This mod is exactly what I was looking for! Nice clean graphics with balanced crafting and strength. Also, just my two cents, but I wouldn't recommend giving it a seperate research requirement. Having two different crafting stations researched + needing a two step crafting process is requirement enough.
dninemfive  [author] 3 Sep, 2018 @ 8:31am
@⎛⎝Aarki⎠⎞ It doesn't require research since as you said it requires you to be able to build two expensive tech buildings, but I could add research if people really want it.
⎛⎝Tiùwilo⎠⎞ 3 Sep, 2018 @ 6:47am
Does this come with it's own research or is it clumped in with the electric smelter?
dninemfive  [author] 2 Sep, 2018 @ 11:56am
@__ Thanks! It means a lot.

Thank you for updating this! You're cool and make good mods.
