Unfortunate we never got a Persian ,or Iranian version of this ,or rather this but for Asia minor factions like media/Atropatane , parthia,hayk, etc
Big Boxus 6 Dec, 2023 @ 12:24pm
I can't run this mod with DEI. But I can run it together with AAA: Generals - Romans. The order doesn't matter either. Is this how it should be?
Otho 9 Jun, 2023 @ 4:38pm
So are these mods just dead or...?
Ro-1 9 Jun, 2023 @ 12:33am
Mod can be applied in grand campaign but only affects the Etruscans and Veneti, however it did work well with that Etruria overhaul mod
Ostarū Empire 13 May, 2023 @ 3:42pm
Does this also fix the Roman officers with their invisible swords and those spears on their backs?
Aurora 12 Mar, 2023 @ 3:38pm
Where did the 'punics' one go? Renamed ?
Caos 26 Feb, 2022 @ 1:34am
Hi, does it compatible with DeI 1.3 ?
Ragnar 1 Jan, 2022 @ 1:51pm
Can this mod be used with the grand campaign or is it just Rise Of the Republic?
Inquisitor 18 Dec, 2020 @ 3:41am
ıs there a version for empire divided ?
The Dark Ranger 8 Dec, 2020 @ 5:36pm
Can you make a version for the various barbarian and nomadic tribes too?
Benjin  [author] 4 Nov, 2020 @ 6:07am
@Project_Scarface
No problem, it's cool. Yeah the Etruscans in the Grand Campaign use the exact same appearance as their RotR equivalents. Same with the Samnites in the Hannibal at the Gates + Prologue campaigns.
Project_Scarface 4 Nov, 2020 @ 5:16am
@Benjin Sorry if it seemed like a request, no, I was asking if it affected the Romans too, creating AAA mods? I leave it to you who are the author and the artist while I would ruin it, as I said before, I'll play with the Etruscans, there is no problem, on the contrary, now I am more interested in the Etruscan culture and its history, the little that remains ...
As a last question, do the Etruscans in the Great Campaign have the Etruscan helmet when they have higher ranks? As can be seen in one of the images of the mod, in those of the Raeti?
Benjin  [author] 4 Nov, 2020 @ 4:59am
@Project_Scarface
I didn't want to have the Early Romans mixed in with the GC Romans simply because it doesn't make sense to do so. By the start date of the GC, Roman officers didn't look like they way they used to. If you'd like to make your own submod for AAA that does that, then be my guest, but I won't be doing it. And yes, Romans are Italian, but the game recognises them as two different cultures (Rome = "roman" with subculture as "latin", other Italian factions as "rom_roman" with subculture "italian" or something more specific (e.g. "etruscan" and "samnites" for RotR)).
Project_Scarface 4 Nov, 2020 @ 4:53am
I thought that the Romans would also affect them in the Great Campaign, since they are Italians
Project_Scarface 4 Nov, 2020 @ 4:50am
@Benjin I know but I wanted to play with Rome and see those models with hoplon like the Etruscans, it would be cool, anyway, thanks Benjin I think I'll continue playing like the Etruscans
Benjin  [author] 4 Nov, 2020 @ 4:46am
@Project_Scarface
There's another mod for Roman general appearances for the Grand Campaign, it's called "AAA: Generals - Romans". This mod is specifically for Italians across all campaigns (e.g. Etruscans + Samnites) and other cultures featured in Rise of the Republic that fit its time period (e.g. Early Romans, Early Greeks etc)
Project_Scarface 4 Nov, 2020 @ 4:15am
@Benjin, this mod works too with the Romans in Grand Campaing? I want to know if this models show in the Grand Campaing with the Romans
Emperor Nuclear 16 Oct, 2020 @ 3:37pm
Love this mod.
Benjin  [author] 17 Aug, 2020 @ 2:50am
@RomulusJuniusAugustus
Yes, you can - they're designed to work well together. If you enable this one, you will have Italian + Etruscan + Samnite generals in other non-RotR campaigns (e.g. Hannibal at the Gates, Grand Campaign, Prologue etc).
RomulusJuniusAugustus 17 Aug, 2020 @ 1:54am
does this work together with AAA: Punics and AAA: Romans? Because if I am not wrong those works on the grand campaign Romans and Punics respectively but this mod works for all the Rise of the Republic factions (which also includes Romans and Punics). Can I download all 3 mods (Romans, Punics and Rise of Republic) together without the game crashing?
Gunth 4 Jun, 2020 @ 10:47am
Sorry, I actually meant to post this on AAA: Generals - Romans. You were right, I had a very outdated version of your mod. Thank you so much! Great work!
Benjin  [author] 4 Jun, 2020 @ 9:32am
@Gunth
Not sure why that is happening - I fixed the baldness many months ago. Maybe try enabling AAA: Generals - Romans on top of AAA: Generals - Rise of the Republic?
Gunth 4 Jun, 2020 @ 9:01am
This mod is really amazing and I love it, but I wonder if I'm the only one getting an inordinate amount of bald Romans. Also, the women's faces replacing CA's aliens are excellent.
Squadl 17 May, 2020 @ 5:32pm
Great work, like all of your MODs! I cannot play without them anymore :) Thank you very much for your work and sharing all your fantastic MODs.
Stephen 29 Apr, 2020 @ 10:10pm
These are great! thank you
Sam Urai 29 Apr, 2020 @ 6:42am
Thanks.
TheDodgyUkrainian 9 Feb, 2020 @ 7:13am
Awesome Benjin thank you
Benjin  [author] 8 Feb, 2020 @ 4:35am
@TheDodgyUkrainian
Yes, that will be the next AAA mod I work on. It will cover all Barbarian subcultures (Britons, Iberians, Gauls, Germans, Scythians, Dacians, Thracians, Illyrians).
TheDodgyUkrainian 22 Jan, 2020 @ 1:18pm
Really great mods Benjin! i was wondering if you have plans for the barbrian factions and the iceni in particular would be of interest to me:)
Benjin  [author] 27 Dec, 2019 @ 3:05pm
AAA: Generals - Punics has now been released, check it out here !

Merry Christmas + Happy New Year!

@Brian
Once I'm eventually done with Rome II, yes.
Brian 1 Nov, 2019 @ 5:33am
Will this ever be available for Attila?
Benjin  [author] 9 Jul, 2019 @ 8:30am
@Jason Wolf
Yes, you can. If you enable this mod and play other campaigns which aren't Rise of the Republic, you will see changes to the Italian / Etruscan factions (e.g. "Etruscan League" faction in the "Grand Campaign" + "Hannibal at the Gates", "Samnites" faction in the "Prologue" and "Hannibal at the Gates").
Jason Wolf 9 Jul, 2019 @ 7:07am
I can have this active for the main campaign with your other 2 general mods?
SynValorum 23 Mar, 2019 @ 11:42pm
AKA Beavis or The Pug Dog, not meant to insult your work, just the person it resembles lol
SynValorum 22 Mar, 2019 @ 4:52am
This looks like Mark Whitchurch.
TrialAvel 19 Mar, 2019 @ 6:18am
Thanks for the quick reply! Will be using it from now on on my games :D
And thank you for this amazing mod as well, it looks really cool!
Benjin  [author] 19 Mar, 2019 @ 4:33am
@TrialAvel
Hey there - absolutely no problem answering questions, if you have more don't hesitate to ask them.

The Rome version only affects the Roman General character appearances over the pre-patch 18 campaigns (Prologue, Grand Campaign, Imperator Augustus, Caesars in Gaul, Hannibal at the Gates).

This version only affects factions in the Rise of the Republic campaign (e.g. Early Romans, Early Greeks, Etruscans, Iapygians, Venetians, Nuragics etc). However, the changes it makes to the Etruscans, Samnites and Italians can also be seen in the other campaigns that feature them (e.g. Prologue, Grand Campaign, Hannibal at the Gates).

Yes, this mod does work with Dresden's 4TPY mod + season effects mod - only mods that affect shield textures cause weird effects at the moment, but I'm going to fix that soon. It's compatible with most other mods out there as long as it's loaded before those in the load order (overwrites whatever changes the same things below it).
TrialAvel 18 Mar, 2019 @ 7:10pm
Just some questions if I may... What is the difference between this and the Rome version? And, does this mod work the mod from Dresden that changes the game to 4 turns per year plus season effects?
Thanks for this amazing mod, can't wait to play with it!
Alexander The Greek 16 Mar, 2019 @ 6:57am
Ok, thanks.
Benjin  [author] 16 Mar, 2019 @ 6:53am
@Alexandros
Rank 1 generals don't have helmets, if that's what you mean. I suggest using "Skidvar's Starting Ranks" when starting a new game so that there's more rank variation at the start.
Alexander The Greek 16 Mar, 2019 @ 6:52am
I can't see the helmets.
mini_lancer 15 Mar, 2019 @ 6:42pm
brilliant update! Will test this straightaway xP
Benjin  [author] 14 Mar, 2019 @ 4:57pm
Hey all - as you all probably know, in the next week or so I'm going to release a massive update for this mod - you can see the progress made on the mod's TWC thread here [www.twcenter.net].

While I'm working on that though, I am gathering lots of reference materials + wondering what people would like the characters in the next Punic Generals mod to look like. You guys can discuss the upcoming Punic Generals mod here [www.twcenter.net].
Benjin  [author] 11 Mar, 2019 @ 6:59pm
Just to let everyone know, I'm working hard on not one ... not two ... not three ... but nine new AAA general variations for the Rise of the Republic mini-campaign, some of which can appear in the other campaigns as well. Here's a list of them and the other campaigns they will appear in (in brackets):

• Etruscan (Grand Campaign + Hannibal at the Gates)
• Italian (Prologue)
• Veneti
• Samnite (Prologue + Hannibal at the Gates)
• Nuragic
• Greek
• Iapygian
• Tarantine (Prologue)
• Syracusan

The update will be up in a week or so.
NightFreezer 13 Feb, 2019 @ 11:39am
Dude! Its so so so awesome!!! Really great work and I love this individual generals! Can u make mod like AAA Gen. for simple soldiers??? With many faces? I really dont know, maybe its very hard, but its only a interest)))))
Benjin  [author] 8 Feb, 2019 @ 11:19am
@Sviss
No, the Greeks aren't done yet.
Sviss 7 Feb, 2019 @ 7:27pm
Are the Greeks done yet? Cause I was hoping for a Syracuse play through :AngrySword:
Elohim 3 Feb, 2019 @ 4:43am
Great work, mate. Love all your mods.
Benjin  [author] 18 Jan, 2019 @ 7:55am
@Krasny

Ligma Bababooey 18 Jan, 2019 @ 7:31am
