Can someone tell me if they ever ran into a problem with something not
being identified? There was something like this for TL1 but it wouldn't identify something
and you could find out what the item was since there were no identity scrolls.

If these runes were very rare drops or very expensive purchasables, like with what Runic Games did with the official mod they made for Torchlight1, then I would use this.
Right now you seem to be copying what the makers of the game added to Torchlight1 to Torchlight2 in a VERY unbalanced matter.
That said, I can perfectly understand why you want these things back in game. And its nice for you to try and add them back.

I really like the concept but, I'd like to have it balanced into the game. Either have it only as a very rare drop or on sale for ... 50k?
It's still a great idea though.

That is very kind of you, Nephilim, thank you.
You have been granted an e-hug.

For tsuelue and anyone else that would prefer not to have runes drop, I just uploaded a new No Drops version of the mod (link in description). I'm going to keep this version as-is for people with mod conflicts. Sorry for the inconvenience! I also pushed a small update to this mod earlier to make the appearance of dropped runes much smaller.

@Nephilim Wouldn't altering the spawn lists to remove the scrolls work?

Hm ... I liked this mod because I wouldn´t have to pick up portal and identify scrolls anymore, it wasn never about the gold they cost or the inventory space ...

Yeah, unfortunately the way I initially handled removing the drops led to some problems. What I'll likely end up doing is simply letting runes stack, or adding in a new vendor trash scroll with a high stack size that drops instead so you don't end up juggling which runes are extras and which you want to keep.

I can confirm I've seen Identify Runes drop. (I just got one from a Barrel.)

...sorry ...nag nag...both runes now drop ...but at least they don´t stack... :D

I thought they shouldn´t drop anymore. Which would be great actually. If they dropped in the area between the starting point and the Enclave, ok, but beyonf that one of each kind is enough.

Whoa, that was fast! Annnd i have another thing ... I found 4 Vendor boon scrolls in about 15 minutes since I started using this mod. This is konda nice, but then again ... might be just supernice RNG, but then again ...?! Just wanted to mention it. And thanks for the quick fix.
Consider yourself hugged.

Thanks for the feedback! That should be fixed now.

I too have the right-click problem, which is a big problem; as that is the primary way I identify things.

Same here. I know I may be a bit of a dick, but having to click twice and changing tabs to identify an item is indeed annoying, especially when you are farming Taroachs Tomb. Thats 20 x clickediclickeclack and changing tabs in between....
