Report a translation problem
so i came back, tried to trigger the bug that always happened...and, well it never happened, i have no idea why, but it fixed itself
It could also be a patch by Firaxis somewhere in the past years that changed the way mods work, but I can't find anything new there. The last official one was apparently in 2014. On one hand it's an issue that hasn't been reported until this year, but on the other hand it's a very old mod with probably very few players. I can't tell how long this issue has been around
At this point I'm a bit stumped unless I have a scenario with which to reproduce the problem. Personally I have not been able to reproduce it. Do you perhaps have an autosave from a few turns before you saw the issue, and when you reload and play from that save, do you consistently see the problem reoccur? That could really narrow down the possible causes for this problem.
Since it always triggers at the same rough point, what I expected was that unlocking a certain technology or policy causes it to break. I tried a quick game, unlocking some new improvements through techs and the worker speed through a cultural policy, but these update the unit correctly. Starting the game at a later era also provides working units.
[character limit reached, continued in next post]
I tried to reproduce the issue, but fairy maids were able to build tile improvements for me, including trading posts. Have you tried running the game with only this mod activated? If it works then, it's very likely another mod causing the issue.
Cool to see people still playing this mod, though. Let me know if the above worked or not, and I can help you figure out the problem if it doesn't.
I don't know if AI will be a bitch with this civ. With worker and lake bonus it can grow very fast and usually AI have never problem with unhappiness.
To my knowledge, the game hasn't been updated for a while and most of the mods have been sitting at a stable position for some time now. It could be some edge case bug, or maybe a file got corrupted along the way.
1. Fairy Maid lacks a unique model (This is more of a nitpick and I understand why it's the default)
2. I think you should throw in some more Remilia themed music. Her peace time theme also seems to only ever play once per load. This is what upsets me the most.
3. Everytime I start with this civ I'm surrounded by an absurd amount of Silver. (Not really a complaint, just an observation. Could be really good luck.)
Otherwise I think this is a good mod and look forward to any other mods you may produce in the future. 8.5/10
On Windows, you can find a file in Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\Touhou - Remilia Scarlet (v 6)\CIV5Units.xml. Here is where I store said list of tile improvements. You will find rows labeled <Row> with a <BuildType>. This is where you would have to add rows for each new tile upgrade from the Future Worlds mod. I'm sure their mod folder has a list like this somewhere to update their own Worker units. If you copy that list to the Fairy Maid, you're likely safe.
I pushed a new version which marks the mod as Mutliplayer Compatible, which was just a matter of checking a checkbox. The mod now shows "Multiplayer: Yes" for me, so you should be able to update and give it a shot. Do let me know if you manage to make it work, so I can put it in the description.
