Description
Adds Remilia Scarlet of the Scarlet Estate from the Touhou Project games as a playable civilization.
Compatible with any combination of mods and expansions or lack thereof.

----------Civilization Info

UA - Scarlet Mist: +1 XP per turn for Units in owned territory, up to Level 4. Reduces Culture cost of acquiring new tiles by 25%.

UU - Fairy Maid: Replaces the Worker. +25% work rate, ignores terrain cost.

UB - Magic Library: Replaces the Library. Provides +1 Happiness and +1 Food from Lake tiles in addition to the Library bonuses. (If Gods and Kings and/or Brave New World are installed, Lake tiles yield an additional +2 Culture)

Q: How do I install and use this? I never used a mod before
A: Click the Subscribe button. Start up the game, click on MODS, then Accept. This brings you to your mod overview, and all your subscribed mods should be listed. Check the box to the right of this mod, then click NEXT (the mod will now be loaded). From here on, you can click SINGLE PLAYER, then SETUP GAME to start a new game. Note that if you go back, you will leave the mod section, and thus deactivate all your mods. Works the same for all mods!
If you are a Mac user, try the direct downloads (note that these are old versions).

Q: Why is the Library's culture bonus not available for Vanilla?
A: Culture yields were handled differently back then. It is not possible to add culture to tile yields in the same way.

Q: Can I play this in multiplayer?
A: There is no official multiplayer support for any mod, including this one. However, it is possible through other means. Look up JdH's CiV MP Mod Manager, but do note that since that is neither my tool nor supported by Firaxis, I can't help you much with it.

Q: I can't see the diplomatic screen art! What do I do?
A: A hard fix for this is to open your GraphicSettingsDX11.ini file, located somewhere in Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5.
In there, you should find a line saying UseScreenshots = 0. Change this to UseScreenshots = 1 and save the file (don't worry, it won't break anything). The art should show up next time you run the game.

Q: It doesn't work / it doesn't show up in the mod list! Now what?
A: Try unsubscribing and resubscribing to the mod. This forces the game to redownload it. If this doesn't work, try running it without any other mods (it may be another mod causing the problem). If this fails, contact me (Graan)! Send a message or leave a comment below.

so i came back, tried to trigger the bug that always happened...and, well it never happened, i have no idea why, but it fixed itself

It could also be a patch by Firaxis somewhere in the past years that changed the way mods work, but I can't find anything new there. The last official one was apparently in 2014. On one hand it's an issue that hasn't been reported until this year, but on the other hand it's a very old mod with probably very few players. I can't tell how long this issue has been around

At this point I'm a bit stumped unless I have a scenario with which to reproduce the problem. Personally I have not been able to reproduce it. Do you perhaps have an autosave from a few turns before you saw the issue, and when you reload and play from that save, do you consistently see the problem reoccur? That could really narrow down the possible causes for this problem.

Since you're not the first one to mention something like this, it seems like the issue lies with the mod, but I'm not sure what causes it yet. The three arrows you describe are the "miscellaneous" abilities of a unit, which is where the "delete" option goes. Every unit has this by default. For some reason, all of the unit's other abilities disappear at some point.

Since it always triggers at the same rough point, what I expected was that unlocking a certain technology or policy causes it to break. I tried a quick game, unlocking some new improvements through techs and the worker speed through a cultural policy, but these update the unit correctly. Starting the game at a later era also provides working units.

hi, id like to report yet another fairy maid bug.....each time i get into turns 120-150(in marathon, idk if speed affects this turn count), they just get these 3 arrows pointing right button instead of the select improvement tab, i tested this mod alone several times and it always happens....i really have no idea why, is there anything that could help solve this issue?

Wow, that's a really weird bug. Do you play the vanilla version of the game by any chance? Apparently there was some bug like that in the original version that only got fixed in the expansions for some reason.

I did try just loading up with this mod only, the problem persisted, but I have good(ish) news, the laborers in general seem to be bugged on my copy with or without mods, so no worries on your end!
