Well... After a LONG time using this mod i think i'm gonna let it go for now until it is updated or whatnot not that it's not great, it's just i'm using more the other catwalk and basically only using it for the pillar+light block...

So as i clean up my subbed mods this one will have to go...
Soul_XP 6 Feb, 2022 @ 5:00pm
Hey, you still with us?
Degrosaxx 17 Oct, 2021 @ 1:40am
Hello . Your mod adds a lot to the game thanks for that. But I have a question, would you be able to add a lamp to the Pillar so that it would be a version with 4 lamps at the same time?
Kham  [author] 7 Oct, 2021 @ 5:17am
@Death_Penalty provided it's unlisted that's ok. :)
Death_Penalty 6 Oct, 2021 @ 10:00pm
@kham
I was wondering if I could have permission to upload an unlisted version of this mod to be compatible with Industrial Overhaul to be used on a private server
C.DEF 18 Sep, 2021 @ 9:50am
With all the added blocks in the game and practically endless possibilities for block combinations, I don't blame you for not updating this to add more blocks. Honestly, if someone were able to mod the game so heavily that it changed how grids work entirely, then it would technically be a solution. I don't see that happening though, one can dream.
Rubber Sword 23 Aug, 2021 @ 2:23pm
Any chance of a Block Combinations V3?
Soul_XP 23 Aug, 2021 @ 8:43am
any info on possible update?
holden4ever 8 Jun, 2021 @ 4:46am
Any chance you could add this to mod.io for Xbox users?
drmskr 24 May, 2021 @ 7:36pm
Ahh, Darn. Bout to jump back into SE, and was hoping for some updates...

Ahem.. Umm.. Could you by chance talk to Shastool (I shoulda copy pasted the name) and use his, Solar Windows mod, to make some solar blocks, and combinations into this mod?

Man, I really gotta learn blender..
THE FORCE 27 Apr, 2021 @ 8:11pm
Rats, thanks for the reply.
Kham  [author] 27 Apr, 2021 @ 8:05pm
@THE FORCE I'm afraid not, the ladder counts as a functional block type so it can't also be a door.
THE FORCE 27 Apr, 2021 @ 7:35pm
Hi, would it be possible to add a door to the ladder passage?
Kham  [author] 23 Apr, 2021 @ 6:20pm
@Tek I've no idea why it happens but I've seen it happen with a lot of mod blocks, some from my own mods and some from other mods. It seems totally random and no one ever seems to have been able to find a cause or fix for it. A workaround is to simply grind the block and weld it again as it will show up correctly as soon as the build state changes. A world reload usually works too.
It's a Keen issue though sadly.

@Sam I have avoided armour block combinations just because of how armour block textures work in the game but I might take a look at it at some point to see if I can make it not look totally terrible. :P
Tek 18 Apr, 2021 @ 11:18am
I ran across an issue with the interior-blocks with lights attached, which are listed under this mod's tab. Depending on their orientation in the grid, their model doesn't load in. You get the light and all, but the block stays invisible. If you remove the block and place it again with another rotation, it shows up normally.
Sam 28 Mar, 2021 @ 1:15pm
a must have mod.
Any chances you could add an armor half block with barred window/ grated cattwalk over it? Like vent and barred window from this mod.
Rubber Sword 20 Nov, 2020 @ 4:48pm
@Supay Try Passageintersections by AViegarien, he has airtight stairs.
Bagwit 20 Nov, 2020 @ 11:54am
This looks like a great mod, going to try this one out. Could I also please ask for consideration of an addition?

I am looking for stairs with airtight sides. As in full block square thin panels on each side rather than just open railings. I am trying to build an airtight staircase in a tight space and using glass panes to seal the sides, with a door at the base. However, as the stair occupies the whole block space, the glass panes have to go on the edge of the block spaces either side. Which means I cannot then put down other items against those panes as if they were a wall, as they already occupy that space. It means a lot of wasted space I would like to make better use of. I have been searching but cannot find any airtight stair, they are all open on the sides.

I'm surprised noone has created one yet and your mod looks like just the sort of place for it. I have no skill at creating these and don't expect you to add it but it would be amazing if you please could.
Kham  [author] 22 Oct, 2020 @ 5:30pm
Updated to fix the build costs of the vent combo blocks to use motors instead of metal grids, like the newer vanilla block. Thanks, Please Pick a Name, for pointing it out.
Please Pick a Name 22 Oct, 2020 @ 9:36am
oh wow, thats some fast reply, yeah, thank u, its something pretty small but a thing that needs to deal with:D
Kham  [author] 22 Oct, 2020 @ 7:00am
@Solraven I'd love to have some half armour block combinations, the problem though is in how armour blocks get their textures. Armour textures are scaled and spread across surrounding armour blocks but if I build them as an actual block to add functional parts to then they stick out like a sore thumb because they aren't armour blocks any more so the textures wont blend with surrounding armour blocks they just have a static armour texture which always looks odd. If people don't mind them sticking out then it's possible, but I always worry people expect them to be something they can't be.

@Please Pick a Name Ha, weirdly I'd already updated one of the vent block's build costs but not the other two. I'll push an update today to fix those.
Please Pick a Name 22 Oct, 2020 @ 6:41am
just small random stuff, keen have removed needs for metal grid for vanilla air vent quite a long while ago, seems like no one notice it?, might wanna adjust build cost?
Solraven 14 Oct, 2020 @ 5:47am
how about half armor blocks with lights?
Kham  [author] 4 Sep, 2020 @ 11:43am
@Nizzine when the doors were added the speed they had was the same as vanilla. I think Keen increased the speed of vanilla doors at some point so I'll take a look at that and probably set these to the same. I'll check the opening distance on them too and see if I can allow them to open a little bit less without blocking the way.
Nizzine 4 Sep, 2020 @ 9:38am
also at least the glass door is coming out from the side of the block, so might want to fix the open position of it too.
Nizzine 4 Sep, 2020 @ 9:36am
doors're bit slowish. might want to double the opening and closing speed?
Soul_XP 19 Aug, 2020 @ 8:32am
@Kham Oh, ok then
Kham  [author] 18 Aug, 2020 @ 6:43pm
@Soul_XP as I replied to you a couple of weeks ago in the Suggestions thread, DLC block combinations will not be added to this mod as Keen made the decision not to add those assets to the dev kit.
Soul_XP 18 Aug, 2020 @ 6:23pm
You going to update this with new stuff, maybe a seperate pack the DLC stuff
Darian Stephens 13 Jul, 2020 @ 6:12am
Can't have multiple functions in one block, I'm afraid.
Pell 13 Jul, 2020 @ 5:58am
hi! could i request a combination of the ladder passage and a doorway, if you have the time?
CannonFodder 7 Jul, 2020 @ 10:56pm
Hey I have an idea, it's what serial tasted said but full sized catwalk panels so you can place them between making 1 wide tunnels in large grid like this |_| but also a version where the 3 full size panels meet in a corner lie this |_

Stan 24 Feb, 2020 @ 5:13pm
Hey, thanks for keeping this alive and for the work you put into making it so! Love these, really, seriously increase flexibility when it comes to building and I can't imagine playing without these any more! :)

That said -- I did encounter a (rather minor) issue or two :
* The power consumption on Air Vent combos is way higher than vanilla -- 330kW vs 100kW;
* The text on some of the LCD combo screens is quite blurry (and stretched), compared to vanilla counterparts; not sure if that is part of the model or is it block settings, but it would be great to have it polished a bit. ;)

Anyway, other than this -- I really do appreciate this mod! Thanks again!
Serialtasted 28 Jan, 2020 @ 11:40am
Could you add a catwalk variant with 3 sides? Like the ending for the new catwalks on the dlc
Kham  [author] 7 Jan, 2020 @ 1:16pm
Ah yeah that'd make sense, timing would line up too.
Darian Stephens 7 Jan, 2020 @ 12:43pm
My guess is it was added to support the new rotating spotlight DLC thing.
Kham  [author] 7 Jan, 2020 @ 8:58am
@AngryMan @Darian Stephens Could either of you confirm for me if the issue appears to be resolved now for offsets?

I'd originally tried orienting the light dummy in different directions back in September when originally investigating the problem and it made no difference so I'd started rebuilds but I've just tested again today and it looks like all of the light variants now offset in the correct direction even with the original models so I'm assuming Keen slipping in a fix for the light dummy orientation has possibly fixed this since I already had all of my light dummys facing the correct direction relative to my blocks.

Would be nice if a Keen patch benefited me for a change haha. Didn't even see any mention of the light dummy fix in patch notes which is odd.
Darian Stephens 25 Oct, 2019 @ 3:52pm
I think you can now orient the light properly without having to rotate the whole block, since the light dummy now takes its rotation in to account. Theoretically, you'd just have to face that in the right direction now.
AngryMan 30 Sep, 2019 @ 2:04pm
Re: orientation.

Bummer, suspected that was the case...

Breaking changes are never good... but considering you're doing this for free and that they are lighting blocks, so are likely to be in obvious locations...

I can imagine some situations where if the orientation is rotated around X/Y (forward/right) they would have cascading effects - catwalks becoming disconnected, for example, but Z (up) should be safe, if "annoying".

Can people stop workshop content from being update? If not, then a V3 may be the order of the day... :(
Kham  [author] 23 Sep, 2019 @ 7:35am
@SpartanWar118 Sadly I can't add a ladder and a door in the same block. Both are handled by the game as unique functional blocks. Glad you're enjoying the mod though :)
SpartanWar118 23 Sep, 2019 @ 12:13am
Could you add a passage + glass door + ladder variant?
Anyways, as for my opinion of this mod: It's a must have, no less!
drmskr 18 Sep, 2019 @ 4:58pm
Lol, coolies.. I haven't been playing SE in a while.

Spose it is time to find out of Keen ever fixed the auto disassemble option in the assemblers yet.
Kham  [author] 18 Sep, 2019 @ 2:54pm
Ah yeah I updated those back in May. :lunar2019smilingpig:
drmskr 18 Sep, 2019 @ 1:46pm
Oh, I was thinking of the new control stations, that you have attached to windows and such, or do they automatically adjust to the new stations? I haven't checked yet.
Kham  [author] 18 Sep, 2019 @ 9:02am
@drmskr No plans for anything new in the immediate future. As I mentioned a couple of posts ago I am going to have to re-orient all of the light based blocks which will sadly misalign any already placed versions but other than that I'm unsure of any blocks needing updated in the immediate future. I don't have a lot of time right now so when I do get the time I prefer to actually play. :)
drmskr 17 Sep, 2019 @ 4:05pm
Oh, ok.. I must be thinking of a different mod, one i apparently don't have on my refreshed server...

Any chance of new blocks? Or updated blocks?
Kham  [author] 17 Sep, 2019 @ 3:18pm
@drmskr This mod never had airlock doors.
drmskr 17 Sep, 2019 @ 2:30pm
Is it just me, or did the airlock doors vanish?
Kham  [author] 13 Sep, 2019 @ 2:47pm
@AngryMan I actually only just noticed that a few days ago. It's not something which can be changed in the cubeblocks file, sadly. It will mean re-orienting all of the light combo blocks model files which annoyingly would break any currently placed in worlds with them being in the new alignment. Sorry, light offset setting wasn't a thing when I started this mod so it wasn't something I'd considered back then. I'll try to see if I can find a workaround and if not then I'll just try to update their models and risk breaking some things.
AngryMan 13 Sep, 2019 @ 1:04pm
Hi, loving this,

I'm sure you've already had this, but noticed that some of the lighting blocks are not aligned in the way one would expect - the "lighting offset" is based on the "forward" direction - is it possible to re-orient the models/blocks to fix this?

If it's a case of editing the XML, I'm happy to do this and send you the changes... (appreciate this would be a breaking change)
