So as i clean up my subbed mods this one will have to go...
I was wondering if I could have permission to upload an unlisted version of this mod to be compatible with Industrial Overhaul to be used on a private server
Ahem.. Umm.. Could you by chance talk to Shastool (I shoulda copy pasted the name) and use his, Solar Windows mod, to make some solar blocks, and combinations into this mod?
Man, I really gotta learn blender..
It's a Keen issue though sadly.
@Sam I have avoided armour block combinations just because of how armour block textures work in the game but I might take a look at it at some point to see if I can make it not look totally terrible. :P
Any chances you could add an armor half block with barred window/ grated cattwalk over it? Like vent and barred window from this mod.
I am looking for stairs with airtight sides. As in full block square thin panels on each side rather than just open railings. I am trying to build an airtight staircase in a tight space and using glass panes to seal the sides, with a door at the base. However, as the stair occupies the whole block space, the glass panes have to go on the edge of the block spaces either side. Which means I cannot then put down other items against those panes as if they were a wall, as they already occupy that space. It means a lot of wasted space I would like to make better use of. I have been searching but cannot find any airtight stair, they are all open on the sides.
I'm surprised noone has created one yet and your mod looks like just the sort of place for it. I have no skill at creating these and don't expect you to add it but it would be amazing if you please could.
@Please Pick a Name Ha, weirdly I'd already updated one of the vent block's build costs but not the other two. I'll push an update today to fix those.

That said -- I did encounter a (rather minor) issue or two :
* The power consumption on Air Vent combos is way higher than vanilla -- 330kW vs 100kW;
* The text on some of the LCD combo screens is quite blurry (and stretched), compared to vanilla counterparts; not sure if that is part of the model or is it block settings, but it would be great to have it polished a bit. ;)
Anyway, other than this -- I really do appreciate this mod! Thanks again!
I'd originally tried orienting the light dummy in different directions back in September when originally investigating the problem and it made no difference so I'd started rebuilds but I've just tested again today and it looks like all of the light variants now offset in the correct direction even with the original models so I'm assuming Keen slipping in a fix for the light dummy orientation has possibly fixed this since I already had all of my light dummys facing the correct direction relative to my blocks.
Would be nice if a Keen patch benefited me for a change haha. Didn't even see any mention of the light dummy fix in patch notes which is odd.
Bummer, suspected that was the case...
Breaking changes are never good... but considering you're doing this for free and that they are lighting blocks, so are likely to be in obvious locations...
I can imagine some situations where if the orientation is rotated around X/Y (forward/right) they would have cascading effects - catwalks becoming disconnected, for example, but Z (up) should be safe, if "annoying".
Can people stop workshop content from being update? If not, then a V3 may be the order of the day... :(
Anyways, as for my opinion of this mod: It's a must have, no less!
Spose it is time to find out of Keen ever fixed the auto disassemble option in the assemblers yet.
Any chance of new blocks? Or updated blocks?
I'm sure you've already had this, but noticed that some of the lighting blocks are not aligned in the way one would expect - the "lighting offset" is based on the "forward" direction - is it possible to re-orient the models/blocks to fix this?
If it's a case of editing the XML, I'm happy to do this and send you the changes... (appreciate this would be a breaking change)
