Happy TLC Showcase day everyone! To celebrate, Cleffa has received another big update full of refinements, buffs, and even changes in their moveset! If any of these changes make them potentially OP, please don't be afraid to let me know! I welcome your critique and concerns!



FTILT:
-1, 2, and... Poof! Cleffa forgot Pound! And... Cleffa learned ZEN HEADBUTT! This move comes out faster and acts as a powerful launching move that Cleffa can use while grounded. Cleffa can still use pound as their bair.

UAIR:
-1, 2, and... Poof! Cleffa forgot Sweet Kiss! And... Cleffa learned DRAINING KISS! Now They will recover 3 damage every time they successfully damage an enemy with this move! Sprites have been very slightly adjusted to compensate. Fair remains untouched and continues to be Sweet Kiss.

NAIR:
-Nair's been powered up with the ability to restore a used double jump as well as the ability to cancel into said double-jump within a 2-frame window upon successfully damaging someone! Master it to bounce around and keep foes under pressure!

BAIR:
-Cleffa will now face the opposite direction when bair reaches window 3 instead of window 4. If this makes their combo-game too good I'll change it back in a small update.

DAIR:
-It received some tweaks to have it connect better. Thanks Snolid!
*Window 1 frames 10 -> 9
*Window 2 Custom gravity 0.75 -> 0.80
*Window 3 Custom gravity 0.75 -> 0.85
*Hitbox 1, 2, & 3 base knockback 3 -> 5
*Hitbox 1, 2, & 3 SDI multiplier 0.3 -> 0.2

QoL:
-All attacks now have custom SSL HFX. Thank you, Bernardo!
-Cleffa will now cry out when selected!
-Fixed the NB alt's outline color.
-Tiny sound adjustment and cleanup.

BUG FIX:
-Fixed a bug that can make Cleffa kiss nothing but air during FAIR and UAIR has been fixed by preventing wall jump during windows 4 and 5.

Unintentionally, this became a Christmas update. Here's a small gift!

-Added the finished tag to this mod.
-Cleffa now has an Entrance Animation! Extra special thanks to Nyazure Dreams who made the original pokeball animation used here. Their name will be added to the workshop page's credits proper!

NEW COMPATIBILITY: Cleffa was given a title that's recognized in stages such as MT. DEDEDE ARENA.
NEW COMPATIBILITY: The same title can be shortened to fit the jumbo screen in the BOXING RING.

-Fixed charm's effect not disappearing when Cleffa is KOed.
-Added sound effect that plays when opponent is no longer charmed (doesn't play on opponent KO).

Several significant changes and overhauls have occured this time so I will consider this patch an upgrade to 2.0!


CHARM SYSTEM REWORKED!!!
The timer system has been replaced by a hit counter system to discourage camping.
Opponents affected by charm must successfully land 3 damaging hitboxes on Cleffa to remove the effect.
Furthermore, instead of a -2 attack penalty, the charmed foe's attacks now deal ~60% of their attacks normal damage!


NEW COMPATIBILITY: SLP. Cleffa now has a proper sleep sprite that can be seen when attacked by sleep-inducing SSL moves such as Snake's tranq gun.


Cleffa leveled up and gained a little more defense overall:
KB adj. 1.2 -> 1.1
Hitstun gravity 0.48 -> 0.45
Defense modify 1.1 -> 1.0

Cleffa's short-hop capabilities also went up from 4.5 to 5.5.


NAIR: Hitboxes now have Angle Flipper 6 (opponent is launched horizontally away from player).

FAIR: Hitbox 1 width up 12 -> 24.
FAIR: Hitbox 1 position adjusted. Negative disjoint has been removed.

UAIR: Hitbox 1 height up 16 -> 32.
UAIR: Hitbox 1 position adjusted. Negative disjoint has been removed.


FAIR, UAIR, and BAIR can now but wall-jump cancelled. Go into wall jumping faster from these attacks!


DAIR HAS BEEN OVERHAULED:
-Removed all instances of Angle Flipper 6 in the hitboxes.
-Hitboxes 1-3 base knockback up 1 -> 3.
-Hitboxes 1-3 all have hitpause 3 now.
-Hitboxes 1-3 gained an SDI multiplier of 0.3.
-Lockout on Hitbox 3 has been removed. The whole powerful-last-hit idea just wasn't working well at all. So out it goes.
-Hitbox 4 damage down 12 -> 3.
-Hitbox 4 gained an SDI multiplier of 1.
Extra Special thanks to Snolid Ice for helping me figure out a bunch of things to make these patches work, especially with the DAIR changes! I still have some things to learn on how to make attacks work!


Cleaned up some unused sounds.


While not really part of the update, I also added a gif and image to the workshop page to make it prettier.

NEW COMPATIBILITY: MUNO'S STEVE has a unique death message if defeated by Cleffa.

FAIR: KB scaling up 0.65 -> 0.7.

Changed walk/dash values from 3.5 -> 4.

FTILT: HSpeed added to second startup window.
FTILT: Hspeed down 7 -> 6.5.

DTILT: Startup frames down 14 -> 10. Startup sprites touched up a bit too.
DTILT: Widened hitbox length 36 -> 40.

FAIR: Cleffa can now decide what direction to face after launching an opponent!! Hold the opposite direction to face away. Otherwise, you'll face the same direction as you jump!

FAIR: Knockback scaling up 0.5 -> 0.65.

UAIR: Knockback scaling up 0.6 -> 0.65.
