Also, Japan's artillery and jet icons have been replaced by PDX's inferior versions, it would be great if you could reverse them!

I don't believe Lazareth was talking about the 3D Models. The icons for the US, Japanese, and Australian destroyers do not appear when designing/producing destroyers. I checked with only this mod active.

This mod is designed exclusively for the vanilla game. If other mods alter the tech tree structure, they will clearly be incompatible with this mod.

This mod does not modify any 3D model files. If you're referring to the Lampplus mod, please direct your inquiry to that mod's page. I'm only a contributor to Lampplus and haven't directly participated in its development.
