Long Lived Super Cheat Version

Description
Update: Does not appear to work with latest update according to users. I'll leave it up hear, but I don't know how to fix the problem.

This mod lets you pick up the Long Lived trait in species creation. The trait adds 1000 years to your leaders' lifespan with no penalties.

This version of the trait costs 0 points.

You can also download a version that costs 3 points to select for a bit more game balance, or another version that has no trait cost, but a few negative trait attributes for moderate balance. Install only one version.

Mostly balanced version - http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=843924155
Less Cheatery version - http://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=843903046

This is my first shot at modding Stellaris (or any game for that matter) and the mod is far from perfect. I may keep these updated with newer versions of the game if there is a demand, but otherwise will probably not spend more time on it. I mostly created/uploaded this because the old long life type mods weren't being updated by their creators anymore.

This mod was influenced by the "Mass Effect - The Asari Civilsation" mod.

they put a hard code check on a lot of the bonuses, lifespan +250yrs works above that it does nothing :/

Oh, that's sad to hear. I really don't know enough about all this to fix it I think. Maybe with time.

Err.. I looked in \Stellaris\common\traditions, they had a thing called AI_Weight, which I assume is setting the chance of the AI using it? I'm not exactly sure. A lot of things have changed and 00_Defines doesn't even work anymore so all my leaders are middle age and die around seventy two even with this mod.

I don't have the time to test this right now, so I'd like to get it right on the first go. If I have this as the mod text, where do I add what exactly?

trait_long_lived = {
cost = 0
opposites = { "trait_enduring" "trait_fleeting" "trait_venerable" }
modifier = {
leader_age = 1000
leader_influence_cost = 1.0
species_leader_exp_gain = -0.5

}
}

Thanks Kakushin, I'll look into that and see if I can fix it soon.

In order to stop AI from using the trait, you have to change its weight to 0. I think.

First Knight - No idea if this is achievement friendly. I have been playing with mods since I started playing the game, and have never actually gotten an achievement. No idea what affects that.

ChangoFeroz - I haven't had a chance to actually test this in game beyond making sure it can be picked in the species creator, but it SHOULD affect all hirable leader types such as scientists, governors, admirals, and so on. And yes, the AI can pick the trait as well. I'm not sure if there is a way to turn that off.

Sounds nice. Is it achievement friendly?

Can the ai choose this trait? Also does this effect the leader only or his command?
