County Airport Terminal (Functional) [Fixed]

Description
Note: This asset only contains the base terminal and the planestands (see the preview image).

This is a functional version of a small domestic airport (county scale). The overall models are low poly with around 320 Tris for all pieces combined (one of each), and some contain fewer Tri LOD meshes. All buildings share a common 512x512 texture, as well as a 64x64 LOD texture.

This building is functional and contains 3 airplane stops (can spawn 3 planes simultaneously). The airplane stops are positioned in the same way as the real airport (the one this is based off of).

To make the best use of this asset, I recommend using the advanced vehicle options mod along with some smaller regional aircraft vehicles (not props). There are several on the workshop, several of which are ERJ-145 models.

I have included a few screenshots of a partial (incomplete) reproduction of the actual airport thisis taken of (the scale is 1:1). Note how large the airport ends up being (it's quite small considering (only takes up one 2km/2km tile).

There are a few bugs with these assets:
- The building lights do not always come on (the illumination texture was set to 255).
- There is a strange window reflection effect with the main terminal building.
- The pedestrian bridges are buildings which could not be moved with the move it tool, so I placed a place-holder quad at the z=0 point. This quad appears over the road and cannot be clipped under it.
If anyone knows how to fix those bugs, please let me know.

@kuba1984 they will use the gate that provides the shortest distance for the pathing. You can only get them to use more gates with higher volume (I.e. where one gate isn’t sufficient)

@vasimr22 thank you it worked but the planes are only using one gate, first on the left

@kuba1984 You probably don’t have a return path to the runway. Remember that taxiways are one way

Hello, I love this asset, planes are landing and dropping passengers off but they never take off. They just despawn at the terminal. Any ideas why this is happening? I also noticed there are no people actually going to the airport to depart.

@mhm92150 I have not tried it, however, I don’t think the DLC would break it. If the question is about if private planes will spawn there (I.e. not passenger aircraft), then the answer is no.

Hello,
Does it work with Sunset Harbor DLC ?

@chan2003123 The ERJ-145 requires around 2200-2400 m for takeoff and around 1600-1800 m for landing (both at around maximum weight). The Dash-8 Q400 requires around 1400-1600 m for takeoff and around 1000 m for landing. Note that they probably wouldn't takeoff at maximum weight, so a shorter runway could work. For example, the main HPN runway is a little under 2000 m in length.
I looked up a few other small airports that I know of (both have a single runway, and one long taxiway that is parallel to the runway, and don't service anything bigger than an ERJ-145). They both had a runway length a little over 2000 m in length (possibly due to being at a higher elavation).
You could probably get away with an 1800 m long runway with a 400 m displaced threshold on the takeoff side (so planes start the takeoff roll on the displaced threshold).
Hopefully that helps.

Oh, i see, so how long are they exactly cuz i am trying to add a rural airport for my city for 145 and dash 8s

@chan2003123 Are you referring to the last example image? That's a 1:1 scale reproduction of a real airport (HPN). It routinely lands 737s and larger ERJs (190s), which require a longer runway.
The second runway is much shorter and narrower, meant for single-engine general aviation.

I love how you exaggerate a 3 gate terminal with 2 one-tile long runways, still, a great asset!
