WAR: Unique One-Handed Weapons (A Weapons, Armor and Robes Mod)

Description
Makes named weapons one-handed, and gives them new enchantments and better stats!
This mod is for players who choose to lose. Wait. What? Think about it. If you choose to use only one-handed weapons, you lose: First, you lose the unique weapons that are two-handed. Second, you lose the two-handed weapons rewarded for completing quests. Sure, they look cool on display, but they're not much use in battle. Well, no longer! Just subscribe to this mod, take them out of the display cases and have fun wielding them! Because don't you deserve weapons you can use?

❖ Improved Weapon Stats and New Enchantments!

The mod also adds new models, new enchantments and improves the stats for many weapons (see the list, below). For example, the new one-handed Wuuthrad now also absorbs magicka in addition to doing extra damage to elves. The new one-handed Rueful Axe now absorbs health, instead of doing common stamina damage, and it's no longer the slowest weapon in the game. There are also all-new enchantments. One example: Volendrung now has a chance to disarm and knock a foe to the ground!

❖ Other Mods You Might Like

Like the mod? You might also like the Better Rewards and Treasure Collection. If this mod does well, I might make WAR (Weapons Armor and Robes) mods for two-handed weapons, daggers and bows, light armor, staffs and so on. So please consider rating it and adding it as a favorite, even if you don't want to subscribe now, and follow us on Steam to get notified when mods are released.

HOW IT WORKS

The mod improves the unique (named) weapons of the game by enhancing their stats, adding new enchantments, and changing two-handed ones into one-handed versions. Some weapons have all-new models, such as the Rueful Axe, Volendrung and Wuuthrad. It doesn't change the game IDs for any weapons needed to get the Steam Daedric Walker achievement. It does make many weapons leveled, so iron or steel weapons might now be glass or ebony, if you get them after you reach a higher level.

ANSWERS TO COMMON QUESTIONS

Q. Who is this mod for?
A. Warriors who dual wield or use a shield, spell swords, thieves, assassins and such.

Q. What will the mod do?
A. Besides making the unique weapons of the game one-handed, it (1) adds all new models for some weapons, (2) adds new enchantments never seen in the game before to others, (3) adds additional or improved enchantments to others, (4) levels the weapons, giving them improved damage and enchantments as your character levels, and (5) lets you temper or disenchant more or them.

Q. Is there detailed information about the changes made to each?
A. Yes, on the Discussion page.

Q. What are the new enchantments?
A. There are several, including (1) an enchantment that removes the shield from foes or knocks them to the ground if they try to block a power attack, (2) an enchantments that disarms foes, (3) enchantments that do extra damage to specific creatures, (4) new fear enchantments that have a percent chance to work on creatures no matter how high their level! (More new enchantments are described on the Discussion page.)

Q. Do the weapons get better as I level up?
A. Yes! Many of the weapons that weren't leveled are with this mod. So if you start the quest to obtain them or locate them after you reach a higher level, you'll get better weapons, which do more damage and have stronger enchantments.
For example, if you start the quest to get the Aegisbane just before you reach level 12, you'll get the steel mace, which does 10 frost damage and has a 10% chance to knock a foes down. If you start the same quest after level 36, you'll get the glass mace which does 30 frost damage and has a 20% chance to knock does down.

Q. What about the named weapons I already have?
A. They will be improved, too! If leveled, they will have the damage and enchantments of the third best version of the weapon.

Q. Why aren't the Daedric quest weapons leveled?
A. This is to keep the base IDs of the weapons unchanged, so you can get the Steam achievement Daedric Walker.

Q. Can I improve them at a grinding wheel?
A. Yes, you can improve more of them than in the vanilla game.

Q. Can I disenchant them, too?
A. Yes, you can disenchant more of them than in the vanilla game. You can even disenchant several with the enchantments never seen before in the game and add these all-new enchantments to different weapons.

I hate that some "leveled" weapons that I get from quests totally suck only a few hours later.

So, does this mod do it, or is there a mod out there that takes all 'leveled' items, and replaces them with better versions of the weapon until the weapon is the strongest that you can get it?
