Battle Mages - A Better Rewards and Treasure Mod

In 1 collection by sp0ckrates
Better Rewards and Treasure Collection
13 items
Description
Gives you enchanted light armor, enchanted mage robes and hoods, and enchanted one-handed weapons and magic staffs as loot and payment for quests!
There's also a 3x greater chance of getting light armor and one-handed weapons than there is of getting robes and staffs.

Now when you receive armor and weapons as rewards, they will be light armor and one-handed weapons. In addition, when you loot chests after killing a dragon, giant, draugr death lord, or other boss, the battle will be worth it. For the weapons found will be one-handed and the armor will be light. The same will be true for enchanted armor and weapons looted or rewarded to you: They will be enchanted light armor and enchanted one-handed weapons, or sometimes enchanted robes, enchanted hoods and magic staffs.

But wait! There's more: The gold rewarded for completing quests is now increased by 20%! For example, if you would normally be paid 250 gold for completing a quest, you will now be paid 300 gold. It's a little bonus for your hard work, because you're worth it!

The mod does NOT change the weapons used and armor worn by NPCs. It just changes those found in the chests they guard. It also doesn't change armor and weapons sold by merchants and fences. It's a simple mod, but one I find useful. I hope you'll like it too! If you do, please consider rating it. If you have any questions about the mod, please ask. If you would like mods made for other classes, please let me know. Other mods in this collection are here:

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Q. What will the mod do for me?
A. It will make it far more likely that your battle mage character will get the enchanted armor, magic staffs, enchanted one-handed weapons, and enchanted robes and hoods he or she needs. So you spend less time selling useless armor and weapons and more time having fun doing quests!

Q. What armor and clothing will the mod give me?
A. Leveled enchanted and leveled unenchanted light armor, and sometimes enchanted robes of every magic school and enchanted hoods. You're 3x more likely to get enchanted light armor than you are to get enchanted robes and hoods.

Q. What weapons will the mod give me?
A. Leveled enchanted and leveled unenchanted swords, war axes and maces, and sometimes leveled staffs for every magic school. You're 3x more likely to get an enchanted one-handed weapon than you are to get a magic staff.

Q. How will I get them?
A. You'll receive them as rewards given for completing quests and as treasure looted from chests.

Q. What will I not receive as rewards and not find as loot?
A. Enchanted and unenchanted heavy armor and shields, as well as enchanted and unenchanted battle axes, great swords and war hammers.

Q. Will the Items in shops change too?
A. No, the enchanted items sold by shopkeepers, blacksmiths and vendors will remain the same.

Q. What about the enchanted items received during Daedic quests?
A. These remain the same.

Q. What about other special enchanted items?
A. Named armor and weapons also remain unchanged.

Q. What about rewards for the College quests?
A. These will also remain the same, but there will be more loot you can actually use!

Q. Why am I still finding some heavy armor and two-handed weapons in chests?
A. If you've already started a quest, the game might have already filled the chest. The chests for new quests should have things a mage will use.

Q. What will happen if I unsubscribe?
A. The rewards and loot for new quests will return to normal. You'll get a lot less magic staffs, light armor and one-handed weapons.

CHANGING THE LOAD ORDER

So if you are subscribed to other BRAT mods that change loot and rewards, you should make sure this mod is last (at the bottom) of the load order in Skyrim. Changing the load order is easy. Just do this:
  1. When you start Skyrim, don't select Play right away.
  2. Wait for the Skyrim splash screen to display the message that all mods updated.
  3. Select Data Files.
  4. Select this mod.
  5. Use the down arrow button to move it to the bottom of the list of mods.
  6. Make sure it still has a checkmark next to it.
  7. Select OK and Play.

The game should now use the changes to rewards and treasure of the mod you moved to the bottom of the list. Good spell casting and sword fighting!

Reaper: Depends on the mod. Under Mods Specifications in the description for each mod, if it says, "Load Order Matters? Yes," then move the mod you want to use to the bottom in Data Files of the Skyrim launch screen.
