Description
This modification is the successor to "Normandy 44: European Theater".

Our aim is to offer the player a more Realistic experience, while maintaining the enjoyment of Company of Heroes 2. Eventually, players will be afforded Realistic unit rosters, skins, models and sounds as Mod Tools are fleshed out upon. Until then, we can only offer a better damage model than Company of Heroes 2 and changes to the existing units and upgrades to provide a more enjoyable experience to the player.

Some of our features include:

-Realistically calibrated weaponry:
Every weapon in the modification has been put through a formula which calibrates accurate damage per second (DPS) for the weapon based on its real life rate of fire, round type and weight.

-Revamped squad formations:
Every formation used within the modification has been painstakingly redone in order to offer more logical unit composition on the field. Formations used by actual military forces during the time period such as the wedge, column, line and staggered line formations are utilized with better spacing and tuning, allow the infantry AI to keep better spacing. As a result, units will be easier to control and less men will die as a result of grouping too close together.

-HE/AP rounds for Vehicles:
With the exception of specific light vehicles and weapons that use FlaK rounds, all vehicles have been given the option to swap being HE and AP ammunition. HE ammunition offers little to no penetration, but is far better at damaging buildings. HE rounds also have better accuracy against infantry based targets and larger splash damage.

Realistic Armour statistics:
To go along with our realistically calibrated weapons, we have painstakingly calculated the effective frontal and side armour for every vehicle in the game. The decision was made internally to represent the back half of the vehicle as the "Side" rather than the rear, due to the fact that the sides are a larger part of that section. In the future, direct rear hits will result in more criticals and thus there will still be a difference between hitting the back "Side" and the actual rear.

Revamped units and abilities:
Units that were rarely used such as Partisans, Osttruppen and Irregulars are now far more viable tactics. Conscripts have been divided based on their battlefield occupation, but are still incredibly versatile because of the merge ability. Sprint has been given to every infantry unit in the game, allowing the unit to advance at full speed for seven seconds before becoming exhausted. This should allow for better tactical gameplay and maneuvering. Efforts have been taken to allow for specific units to be used in more logical and unique ways. As an example, Osttruppen will now fight better when near other Osttruppen in order to facilitate the grouping of this unit.

Finally, all unit prices have been recalibrated as well as squad sizes modified. Overall medium vehicles are easier to obtain, but vehicles such as the Panther have been given a price increase due to the large increase in versatility.

I hope you find modelers to keep modding normandy 44 because is a great mod and I am still playing it actually. I would like to help you somehow, but my notions about modding are quite limited.
However, I was wondering if you just could update the mod to fix the gameplay. I mean to avoid infantry dies so quickly.

I would but there are 0 skimmers or modelers still active and wanting to do WW2 work. I would need to redo the entire gfx of all units in order to even attempt stabilizing the mod with CoH1's engine.
