SiN: Blade Player and Ragdoll

In 1 collection by Sirgibsalot
The Sirgibsalot Collection - Garry's Mod
40 items
Description
A ragdoll and player model of John Blade, the player character from the SiN games. Using the model of him from SiN: Emergence with a number of fixes and improvements, as well as player model support.

FEATURES:
- Full eye, face, and finger posing.
- 2 bodygroups (glasses, head piercings). Use the Easy Bodygroup Tool to select them or hold C, right click the model and use the "bodygroup" options.
- Ragdoll with loose physics for easier posing.
- Player model with C_Hands and tight valve-standard physics.
- Improved various textures with redone bumpmapping and phong shaders.
- Fixed eyes enhanced with Left 4 Dead eye shaders with fallback shaders for low-end computers.
- Magnum Pistol prop from SiN: Emergence. Built from the view model and given bodygroups, Joint Tool support, and updated shaders. Glasses also included as a prop.

NOTES/ISSUES

- The model has full eyelid controllers, but due to a Gmod bug with them that many models are affected by, the eyelids do not work correctly. You can use the Enhanced Faceposer tool to invert the sliders for a greater degree of control until this is officially fixed.

- The ragdoll has NPC animations. You can use the Model Manipulator tool on the workshop to make an NPC out of a citizen if you really want. I will not be making a "real" NPC out of this.

- The C_Hands are a edited version of the Counter Strike Source hands due to problems with rigging the game's own view hands for Gmod usage. If you are willing and able to rig the original game's FPV hands for Gmod usage, please contact me.

- Magnum Pistol prop is fully rigged to a boneset that you can manipulate parts of (slide, trigger, etc) using the Joint Tool and/or the Advanced Bone Tool. It also has support for directly attaching muzzle effects by using the Advanced Particle Controller tool.

That cannot be the Marvel character Blade. I'm not familiar with any of the SIN games. Can anyone tell me if this was intentional?

You take commissions ? I would love to have this model in Left 4 Dead 2. Send me a friend invite so we can discus.

Can you make the John Blade from SiN 1? SiN : Episodes kinda sucked.

You could try to give Lt.Rocky the magnum files, he has alot of experience.

@Jonel The No Munny Dragon: I don't have much experience currently. While I am interested in working on L4D2 mods at some point, I doubt I'll be doing anything related to the the SiN games.

Sirgibsalot do you have experience in L4D 2 moding ? If so would you consider making that magnum replacing the magnum from L4D 2 ? I always wanted a pistol like that in Left 4 Dead or at least Blade to replace Coach. Would you consider making one of them ?

@Sirgibsalot: Okay, and yeah it would be good for him to have more lines with a toggle for th next few episodes, only bad news is that they went out of business before they could do it due to not having enough money to fund episode 2.

@cybermorph687c6: Actually, Ritual assumed that players wanted a more Gordon Freeman-style Blade that wouldn't get in the way of the player own thoughts and experiences. Had they been able to release more episodes, he would have many more lines along with a toggle in the options menu to disable his voice.

@The King My only guess is that blade's voice acter wasn't available much during the time of Emergence's developement and that he was able to record a few lines (mostly for answering jessica and JC's calls) and also a few pain sounds and so on, there's still some unused sound files for him which I found in the game's files.
