DK Phaser (DX11)

Descrição
Adds a Type 2 Phaser from the Star Trek universe into Space Engineers. To get this weapon in game you must build it at an assembler. If you are in survival you must also build the ammo (Phaser Power Cell). This mod does not replace the default rifle.

NOTICE: At the moment the phaser causes a lot of noise when you aim it at close objects. This is because it is using the default ricochet sounds from the default rifle. It is particularily noticeable because of the high rate of fire I had to use to get the beam effect. I am trying to find a solution to this problem so if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

The phaser and the ammo both have custom models that I made using Blender. The phaser also has a custom sound as well as custom projectile/weapon definitions.

I made the "beam" effect by increasing the fire rate/bullet trail/projectile speed in the weapon/projectile definitions. I reduced the projectile damage significantly to try and accommodate for the fast fire rate but if you think it is still too powerful or not powerful enough let me know. Because of the way I made the "beam", if you move too quickly while firing you will see the bullet trails. Also, if you right click (aim), the beam visually gets smaller. I'm guessing this has to do with accuracy of hip fire compared to "aimed".

There are currently some slight clipping issues with the phaser and hand in third person but I'm not sure if it is worth fixing. All weapons in game (that I have tried) have a glitch where occasionally the weapon model will be offset by about a foot. Until this issue is solved I don't really see a reason to try and make the model line up perfectly with the hand.

Things I still need to work on:
- add "stun" setting
- modify weapon damage/range (I think it is relatively balanced but I am open to suggestions)
- find a solution for the loud ricochet sounds
- third person model clipping with hand (not a priority)

EDIT: Muzzle flash has been removed so the current screenshots/videos are not how it actually looks in game.

If anyone has any comments or suggestions I would be happy to hear them.

Yeah a Phaser rifle or carbine with better range would be great
