TRAITS
Inventory Tetris makes sure to give new uses to the vanilla traits related to the inventory!
  • Organized - Does nothing right now, will improve autosort when it is added.
  • Disorganized - When using quick move, items will not always stay stacked and will end up in a random spot in the grid. Cannot autosort (in the future when its added).

  • Dextrous - Faster container searching.
  • All Thumbs - Slower container searching.

Search Mode!
Use sandbox settings when creating your world to enabled searching!
When enabled, containers must be searched before they can be looted.

FAQ
How do I open the keyring?
Double click it. The items will be shown in a pop-up window.

Furniture is too big for my bag!
Use your hands. Equip the furniture as you would a weapon.
Your hands can only hold 1 item each, but the items they hold can be as big as you want.

How do I place a thing? It is too big for my main inventory.
If you want to place a large item such as a tent or furniture, equip the item into your hand as if it was a weapon.
Once the item is equipped, it will appear as an option when trying to place/build objects.

My game lags / Low FPS
Ensure that the following game options is CHECKED:
Options -> Display -> UI -> UI Offscreen Rendering -> CHECK
You can now use the use the UI Rendering FPS dropdown to choose a target FPS to reduce the performance demand.

Can I add/remove this on existing saves?
Yes.
Inventory Tetris can added/removed at any point without issue.
(Note: When adding the mod the player may drop items to the ground if they do not have enough space.)

How do items from other mods works?
Inventory Tetris automatically examines items from other mods and determines what size they should be.

Make My Own Changes?
Inventory Tetris includes some very easy to use dev tools that can be used to quickly create compatibility/balance packs to provide more fine tuned support for popular mods or fit your personal tastes.

I clearly said B42, which means B42. Considering what you said, you likely don't have B42 active since you need to manually opt into it. Either switch your version of the game to B42 or subscibe to the B41 version of the mod instead.
@tilarium And which version do I need? I have the newest one installed. I didn’t change the version at all — it’s the newest one from Steam.

This is so good, that i think it should be in vanilla

Controller support for Search mode is not fully implemented, the button can't be interacted with. Will work on a patch when I get to it but keeping the note here so the dev can keep track

If it's not showing in the mods list then you're using the wrong version. Are you on B42? As for the update, yes, this version does need an update but while we wait for Notlock to update it offically, Malkoit's patch still works fine.
Please update it. The mod isn’t working. It’s not even in the mod list in the game.

Tried to do the editing lua file fix to have an inventory again, but its not working. Any solution as of now? Love the mod and consider the game almost unplayable without it lol

for some reason i just don't have an inventory at all?

@Afro Yeah, this mod is so essential for a game like this. I'm honestly surprised the devs haven't changed their plans around to switch over to this style of inventory management. I know some people don't like it, but once you play with it, you can't go back. Notloc giving us the devtool option to change the sizes is great too, because a lot of the sizes are weird, makes it easy to adjust modded in items, and I like having more then just a big square. When I find containers, I adjust them to have pockets and such that emulate what the model looks like.

Additionally, I'm with everyone else, the default sizes are a bit ♥♥♥♥♥♥. You can adjust the settings to your liking though.
