The Autumn-class heavy cruiser is a United Nations Space Command Heavy cruiser classification designed after the war and based on the unique design of the heavily upgraded Halcyon-class light cruiser UNSC Pillar of Autumn.

The UNSC Thunder Child was one of UNSC Infinities escorts during the event of halo 4 before FTLing to the shield world Requiem. all Autumn heavy cruisers and Paris class frigates stayed behind and where resigned to a new unknown mission/duty.

The UNSC Thunder child was assigned to a reaction force as a command vessel for Rear Admiral (Lower Half) Tomas Tharen, that was promoted after the human-covenant war. The Thunder Child was one of 3 heavy cruisers in the newly formed 4th fleet. During the Thunder Child's first engagement after being build the 4th fleet engaged one of Cortana's "Guardians" heading for earth, but where after 7 minutes of fighting wiped out or disabled by the Guardian and that same guardian can be seen over earth activating a EMP to try to stop the UNSC Infinity in the ending cut scene of Halo 5.
