Series of houses P-44 (beige)

Residential buildings of this series and those developed on its basis (P-44T, P-44K and others) are the most mass standard series of residential buildings in Moscow and the Moscow region. Also houses of this series were massively built in Tynda, Nizhnevartovsk, Yaroslavl. Individual copies and modifications are found in Alexandrov, Ivanovo, Petrozavodsk, Orel, Rostov-on-Don, Ufa, Nefteyugansk and Krivoy Rog.
The buildings were constructed in the period from 1978 to 2002, modern modifications (P-44T, P-44M, P-44TM) are being built up to the present time. The project was developed by the Moscow Research and Design Institute of Typology, Experimental Design (MNIITEP), and manufactured at DSK-1.
Unlike most of its contemporaries (for example, the 1605 series), the P-44 did not “evolve” from the typical projects of earlier years, but was a fundamentally new development. The houses of the series were favorably distinguished by an improved layout of apartments, large kitchens, the presence of a freight elevator, a place for concierge in the hall of the first floor, etc. The most widespread were 2- and 4-sectional (sections P-44-1) 16/17-storey houses connected in “corner” by a turning section (P-44-4). The first houses of the series were erected on Khoroshevskoye highway in Moscow.
This package consists of 7 buildings, including various sections, both ordinary block-sections (straight) and corner block-sections (inserts). Buildings can be built close to each other thus creating a unified ensemble.
