Description
This mod adds a Chaingun Turret to the Industrial tech tree. The Chaingun Turret is an upgrade to the Mini Turret.


I made this for progression. With the new Mini Laser Turret I added into my Laser Technology mod for reasons such as "shiny" and "the having of nice things" I figured there should prolly be a mid-way upgrade between the two for progression sake. So here we have the stand-alone Chaingun Turret mod that fills that gap!

It adds a chaingun turret, did I mention that?

Now with Ohhh Sweet.... a chaingun turret....Brrrt. achievement! (requires Vanilla Achievements mod)

Please note, if you have a wall of screaming red errors, please either ignore them (not recommended) or disable all your mods, and repopulate them to remove any issues caused by the name changes in the 7th April 2024 update

@_The_Real_Deal - the chaingun turret is an end-game turret, so your "99.9% of cases it is not used" does not really apply. The only vanilla turret that unlocks after the chaingun turret is the uranium slug turret - a that is a fixed position, slow loading long range turret - not a re-deployable mini-turret.

If used in conjunction with my Laser Technology mod, the turrets that unlock there are way further into the tech tree, so there is no problem there, and those are designed as upgrades in any case.

Unless the player is using some other turret mod, there is not gonna be a problem. And if the player is using another turret mod, there will be balance issues regardless. That said, I do use this mod with both my Laser Technology mod, and Artillery Gun (an upgrade mod for the mortar) and there's no issue there either

The mod is good, but I would fix the research price and move it to a more affordable place in the research chain. A lot of research needs to be done in order to get this turret - which leads to the fact that in 99.9% of cases it is not used in the game.

Short bursts of Brrrt, yeah. It fires off 15 rounds, stops to cool the barrel, then fires again if anything survived XD (capacity is 450, so it is capable of firing 30 bursts, the same number as most other turrets)
