Wondering how RE2 is different from RE1?

Check out the Reforged Eden 2 Guide for Reforged Eden 1 Players.

Overview:

Reforged Eden 2 is a complete game overhaul that combines Vermillion's Reforged Galaxy 2 and ravien_ff's Project Eden 2 content into a single scenario.
Nearly every block, weapon, POI, planet, trader, and mission has been updated or replaced and a large amount of new content added. This greatly changes the game experience.
Reforged Eden 2 is very different in many ways from Reforged Eden 1 with different block limits, CPU allocation, power usage, etc. Some of the values may seem shocking at first if you are coming from Reforged Eden 1 but this is why it's important to look at Reforged Eden 2 as its own scenario.

Reforged Eden 2 increases the overall difficulty and slows down progression. It is intended for experienced players looking for a more difficult, long term PvE experience with a variety of ways to progress and new things to explore.

This scenario requires the game difficulty settings for Mass/Volume, CPU, and Block Limits to be enabled to function correctly and to prevent exploits and issues. Playing with any of these settings disabled is not supported.and may cause unexpected issues.

Blueprints created for Reforged Eden 2 may not be compatible with the base game or Reforged Eden 1 and blueprints for the base game or Reforged Eden 1 may require extensive refit to work properly in Reforged Eden 2.
The scenario is still under active development so this information is subject to change. Please see the update notes for the latest information.

Getting started:

To start playing Reforged Eden 2, subscribe to the scenario and then go to new game > scenarios > select Reforged Eden 2. You can start the scenario in creative by clicking on "game mode".
If you want to play in freedom mode start a survival game and use console command cm freedom then restart the game.
Reforged Eden 2 will only apply to save games started using the scenario and will not affect your other saves.
Contains no content from the Dark Faction DLC and you do not need it to play Reforged Eden 2.

Features:

A massive thank you to the many members of the community who have given feedback and submitted POIs and other content for use in the scenario.

opinion, the laser SMG might need a buff to durability, if that can even be done. Not my weapon of choice, but the game gave me like 6,. compared to what i think are similar tier weapons, i burned through them really, really quickly, considering the number of shots needed(or aleast fired) they feel pretty weak in that regard.

Oh, I thought it was an issue in how the scenario worked. I didn't really think you'd done anything like that on purpose, just assumed some specific thing about difficulty changes modified how it started. There is definitely not much you can do about it if it's the game itself at fault then, yeah. I can't find the Github thread about it, so I'll just post the specific details here in case anyone searches here. I had to leave it on the default difficulty settings at the start until I got the supplies out of the first box (otherwise no armor for air!) and I ran around a bit grabbing some stuff just to be sure before exiting to the main menu and then setting the difficulty settings where I wanted them.

Yeah it's a game bug they aren't going to fix at the moment as it has that workaround.
Unfortunately some people think I somehow "locked" the game difficulty settings on purpose so I just wanted to be sure for anyone else reading that this is a game bug and nothing to do with any scenario.

I missed that. I'm not complaining, I just wanted to be sure you were aware.

Also it says this on the start screen for RE2.

Nazo please see GitHub about that.

It turns out I can edit difficulty settings by exiting and modifying it on the load screen, but still, I would assume you don't mean for it to revert to a generic Akua starter if the user changes any settings.
Nazo 5 Feb @ 10:30pm
I didn't see this mentioned, but I just tried to start a custom game in the "Purgatory" starter on RE2 and it just dumps me in an escape pod on Akua with the generic starter stuff. I tried multiple times just to be sure.

I know you intended it to be played on defaults, but on solo I just don't find it fun if I don't adjust a few things.

i Wasted my time as it was mostly underground, i hate mining at the best of time without the added task of digging out a POI while getting shot at :)
