Description
A collection of 45 traffic signal props based on references from 1970s/80s-era American cities.

This set has square bases and yellow signal heads, other variants may be released later.

Primarily for advanced players, as these props are intended for use along with BOB (listed as a dependency mod) to replace traffic lights on any network.

There are several assets which can replace the vanilla traffic lights, and many additional variations with different signal head alignments if you want to create more advanced configurations for replacing individual network props.

Textures (512x1024) are shared across all props, so memory usage is reduced to only a few megabytes if using Loading Screen Mod (which is why it is also listed as a dependency).

Asset names follow a general convention indicating the signal type and alignment.

For example, for the asset AMTL-1Y-2W-CrL-PB:

1Y - Mesh type 1, YELLOW color
2W - with TWO-WAY signal
CrL - CROSS-traffic signal, for LEFT (or RIGHT) side of street
PB - Pedestrian signal facing away from (BEHIND) drivers
(or any combination of F/Forward, R/Right, or L/Left)

Assets marked with "Mst" indicate signals mounted on a mast.

All props were designed for North America (driving on the right side) but should be mostly compatible for left-side traffic, as many mirrored props are included.

Additionally, some props have cross-traffic signals for either vehicles or pedestrians, or both. This is indicated by assets having a "Cr" in the name or a pedestrian signal in two directions (such as a suffix of "PLB"). The cross signal will always display the inverse of the main signal direction (meaning that when the main signal is showing red, the cross signal displays green). If the signal state is inverted, the prop may need to be rotated by 90 degrees with BOB, but some unexpected behaviour is also possible on 5+ way intersections, or when creating custom timed signals with TMPE.

Agree with @Alex -- Would LOVE to see 40s/50s traffic lights that mirror the classic Eagle and/or Crouse Hinds models. You still see these lights all over the midwest and northeast parts of the U.S.

Amazing set thank you for creating these! Would love to see a 40's/50's set of lights from you at some point in the future.

I have models built for a more modern set, but haven't had the time/patience for importing them yet. The import process is (sadly) far more time consuming than actually creating the models :steambored:

Can you make more modern versions?

Thanks so much for making these! I have already shared some cool snap shot photos on Facebook groups for Cities Skylines. Great add on and thanks so so much for making these. Cant wait to see the other variations you said in earlier comments.

These are the absolute best traffic signal mod I have ever had on this game!!! I love how realistic they look and that 60's and 80's touch is amazing too! Its great in making small American style towns too which still use such traffic signals as well. Going to have some fun playing with these. (Only request I would want for this is a 4-way ground traffic signal and maybe even one with turning arrows as I know they were very rare but it was cool to see them in older neighbourhoods.
