1. Line Artillery may become extremely ineffective against a line of infantry because artillery is expensive, has low breakthrough, low org, and low HP. It is better defensively than it is offensively, which is not the point during Barb.
2. Your tanks will always be pierced by Soviet tanks and vice versa, so there is not too much in adding welded armor. You should keep tanks relatively cheap by using riveted.
3. It is extremely muddy in Eastern Europe up til June. Snow conditions usually end on the 11th of April (they really do), but if you have snow-spec ranger company, you may attack since the 1st of April once Deep Snow is no longer present.
1. Holding North Africa can delay D-Day and damage Allied AI's ability to kill Italy, which will let you keep Western Europe much easier.
2. Do not kill Santa in the event. Let him go is the appropriate choice (nothing will happen from this). Killing Santa gives 80,000 CIC (a lot of production speed bonus) but may damage your combat effectiveness during winter.
also, if you feel somewhat tight with research and not yet known of these features:
1. Venezuela rushes 1939 infantry tech for you, ask for it in 1937.
2. Bulgaria rushes 1940 mechanized, ask for it when they join or in 1937
3. Romania rushes 1940 small airframe and should have it by mid 1938 at the latest, ask for it if they have any air design ready at all, after which you may change the first slot to bomb and save it as CAS, then use the newly designed CAS, swap first slot back to gun and save it as Fighter. This lets you have 1940 fighters without the need for the actual tech without licensing production speed penalty
4. Venezuela/Peru may rush 1940 anti-tank tech for you, ask for it from them.
Difficulty setting is still being discussed as it makes no sense right now.
But anyway, I will try to have somebody make an update for users without DLC in case I cannot fully recover.
Aw shjt, I am actually tearing up a little. It was hard to believe I got into an accident pretty much as soon as I came back to my home country.
Might have been heavenly retribution, perhaps.
But anyway, I will make as many positive changes to the mod as possible in case I do not make it.
