Description
Oh my god, original content!

Heyo, fake beta content! This is basically a recreation of that shotgun Bill has in the old concept art from TRS during the beta.

My friend Ox did the original mesh. It was never finished, had no texture, flashlight, or anything. I asked if I could have it, I fixed up the mesh a bit, added a flashlight to the mesh, made my own texture for it, and here we are, my first (mostly) original weapon!

This replaces the Chrome Shotgun, and has no TLS skin support. I might add that in the future, maybe something entirely original? I dunno I've been working on this for like an hour and a half straight I just want it done.
I personally recommend using this sound mod with this.

If you want it to use Chrome Shotgun sound events that were added by TLS, and/or want better materials, use this version.

If you wish to use this model for your own mod, putting it on other animations, reskins, etc, go ahead, we don't care. Just credit us and/or link back to this mod!

Any chance you would be willing to share the source files for this? I'm working on a project of my own and having a set of clean, fixed-up L4D1 shotgun animations would be very helpful.

Okay I got it to work, it uses Chrome Shotgun sounds now.

It's just that for some reason it crashes my game, I will try again though.

The thing is, decompiling breaks animations. And fixing them is a real hassle. I actually use crowbar and GCFscape, that's how I found out it uses old events. Alas I can't really recompile so I used HEX to edit the events. Since that's what MrFunreal said in his guide .

i used a QC from a friend as a basis for compiling, which was originally a l4d1 QC modified to be compatible with l4d2. it was made before TLS, and i wasn't even aware TLS had added those, so i never thought to change those sound events

you're free to recompile the model to make it use the new events yourself, i won't care, but i would advise not using hex editing when there's much better ways to look inside of vpk files, like crowbar or GCFscape

Decompiling the model also shows Pump Shotgun events instead of Chrome Shotguns ones.

Should be using Shotgun_Chrome.Deploy , Shotgun_Chrome.LoadShell and
Shotgun_Chrome.Pump .
