Description
This Outer Rim series module adds droids and droid related items, buildings and more. This module will also add droids to various other modules if they are both active.

More will come in future, this is just the start.

Other Features:
  • Recolourable - Droids can be recoloured, with one or two channels depending on the droid, just select them and you'll see up to two gizmos for choosing the colours.
  • Droid Factory - Production building for crafting droids
  • Restraint Bolts - Applied to droids to prevent escape if they are slaves and prevent misbehaviour of droids with behavioural traits.
  • Restoration Kits - Used on 'dead' droids to reactivate them and repair already 'living' droids.
  • Data Spikes - Used on downed enemy droids to convert them to your faction.
  • Replacement Parts - Bionic equivalents for droids, they come in three tiers.
  • Droid Armour - Apparel items worn by humanoid droids, they have no visual change but provide stats.
  • Droid Equipment - Various equipment used by humanoid droids like wrist blasters, jetpacks or shields.
  • Orbital Trader - New trader kind that can show up in orbit, trading various droid related goodies as well as selling droids themselves.


Aside from anything listed for Outer Rim - Core I am not aware of any incompatibilities.

Dubs Bad Hygiene needs can be disabled on the droids in the settings for that mod.


I have done a decent amount of testing myself, as well as running public testing for a couple of months, but things will of course slip through the gaps. So...

If you have an issue to report you MUST include a HugsLib log (Ctrl+F12) or I can't help in most cases.


  • How do charge?
    Asimov chargepacks, chargepads or wireless chargers.
  • Why do we need batteries for chargers?
    The amount of energy drained to charge at full speed would cripple most power grids while they do so, draining batteries instead is much simpler, more reliable and mostly idiot-proof.
  • Can they charge from the Biotech chargers?
    Nope, Biotech's energy need for mechanoids is entirely separate and always will be.
  • I have this great idea, will you do all the work?
    Nope, I have enough I want to do.
  • Does this mod follow Legends or Canon?
    The mod series follows its own lore as neither translates perfectly to RimWorld, that said it's primarily based on Canon with Legends where I want to include it, and rarely some fanon.
  • Why can't we have the All-In-One too?
    I'm not maintaining two versions of a mod and modularity is better for users with how RimWorld loads things.
  • How long has it taken to do all this by yourself?
    It's been in development since early 2019. So, a while.
  • Is this a Total Conversion?
    Nope! You can absolutely play it as one if you want to, but the end goal is more of an extension than replacement.
  • I can't find a specific building in the architect menu tab!
    This is one of the mods using my new sub-category system, which allows many more items to fit into a single architect tab, use the sub-category button to navigate the list of sub-categories.

Looks like a conflict with Star Wars Xenotypes.

something to do with salvage assist droids causing a constant error poppup and filling up the log its also making every pawn of mine invisible.

nvm found the mouse droid haha. tho it seems there is probably a bug, as for some odd reason most of the droids that are capable of hauling just outright stop hauling and it says will never haul even tho they where hauling right after them being built, so far nothing shows up on my log for an error idky they just seem to stop.
