Description

THIS VERSION WILL TEMPORARILY STAY UP FOR USERS TO MIGRATE OVER, THEN WILL BE UNLISTED SOON!

Tired of raiders showing up with the same old autopistol? Want a realistic gun mod with a little more "style" while still being vanilla friendly? Don't care about so called "Bloat? This mod adds 70+ weapons (and counting) complete with hand-drawn art that attempts to look unique without being too out of place.

The calibers being listed in the screenshots is a holdover from the CE version, but I kept them there because it shows a good idea how much damage they do. And because I'm lazy. Note that certain weapons may appear too small or too large, as this was made with CE in mind which has its own scaling system.

See a gun that makes you cringe? You can use Cherry Picker to remove it.

Q: Are the weapons in this mod, balanced...?
A: I have no idea, as I never play with vanilla combat. Many of the weapons are simply intended to be cosmetic variations of each other, so it shouldn't be too unbalanced, but let me know if there's anything downright broken.

Q: Why did you decide to make this?
A: I only really made this mod so that pirate raids show up with more than just the same revolver every single time, and because for some reason every gun mod I've seen has that one gun that is super rare and exotic in real life with only like 0.5 of them made and in-game they show up in every raid. Plus, I've just noticed a strange lack of mods with guns that normal people actually use day-to-day. Instead, it's mostly military weapons and obscure prototypes, which I do love every once in a while, but I'm honestly just more interested in weapons I can legally own, which is why there's a larger emphasis on pistols and AR-15s here than any other workshop mod.

Q: May I make a suggestion?
A: Sure thing, but keep in mind that if you suggest a weapon that is from before 1950, made in the Soviet Union, and is currently in two pieces on someone's desk, there's a high probability that I'm not interested in it. I will still consider it, but just know that I prefer modern firearms in the western sphere of influence, and will prioritize those more. With that said, if you own a customized AR-15 (not just stock parts) and want to see it in-game, you can DM me on Discord with the specifics and I'll gladly draw it for the mod as a rare item, with your choice of remaining anonymous.

@Todd "The God" Howard - Maybe, the Glock 21 has the highest chance of returning. The other ones will likely stay removed.

I noticed few weapons on this version that do not appear on the newer version, such as the switched G21. Are they just removed now or will we get them on there later?

:UAC: This mod will be getting remastered for 1.5, as soon as some other mods update.
Until then, this version will stay up for 1.4 users.

I think i saw recipe that not included in any workbench in other mods, may be this is the workaround you need? Include recipes in the research but none in workbenches

Some are rare, some are more common and are intended to be variations of other guns without clogging up the work tab.
It works without issues in most cases, but unfortunately some mods just don't account for guns that have no recipe. My only "solution" for now I guess is to just not equip them until you reach the point where you should be able to.

Seems to be the case. If I use devmode to spawn craftable guns, my pawns cannot equip it.

But uncraftable weapons are not supposed to be rare ? I had one raid where half of the weapons came from your mod, and they where all equippable. They did not even looked that fancy. Unfortunately I cannot verify, since I sold them all to the first trader that came.

@Anonymoussse - Ah, that might be it. The uncraftable weapons in my pack don't have recipes assigned to them, since they're uncraftable, but it also means they have no research assigned to them either. The craftable ones should work fine with Arcane Technology though.

Then, my guess is it is because your weapons are not locked behind any research (correct me if I'm wrong).
I think Arcane technology use researchs to determine a technological level (and vanilla guns are locked behind gunsmithing, precision rifling, etc...)
