The Rescue Dragon
Overview
Based on the versatile airframe of the Combat Dragon, the Rescue Dragon covers a heavy requested market niche with a capable workhorse with endurance.

Features
The Rescue Dragon features a wide set of systems and sensor to fit into the theater of archipelagean offshore rescue. With a huge airtime thanks to it's efficient engines, it's designed to leverage the balance of life and death in Dragon's favor.

Nominally and most efficiently operated by 2 crew (pilot + operator). With it's auto-pilot systems, the Dragon can also be employed single piloted. It features the following list of systems (not exclusive):
  • Autopilot with POS, HDG, NAV (Waypoint) and ALT-Hold modes. POS-Hold can be adjusted by winch-operator
  • GPWS (Ground Proximity Warning System)
  • A modern FLIR optical turret with ground and radar tracking, water cannon and a slaved search light
  • A simple transponder locator
  • VDF system to locate radio sources (with known frequencies)
  • Dual deployable four-winch systems with changeable harness or stretchers
  • Weather Logger for metreological situational awareness
  • A simple sonar underwater detection system
  • WIPEOUT Client
  • 8 intensive care medical beds
  • 7 seats for crew or pax
  • A large winch for heavy lifting (or deep sea support)
  • An integrated container grappler
  • A wide variety of rescuing equipment

With the same hull as the Combat Dragon, the Rescue Dragon is also cabable of water landing. But beware of high winds!

With a topspeed of 80m/s and an endurance of numerous hours it easely fits any demand. And with it's safety systems, crew well beeing is severly enhanced even in the harshest environments.

Quickstart
  1. Switch ON Bat1/2 and Gen1/2
  2. Start Engines
  3. Activate Inter-Shaft
  4. Release Brakes (col.) if required
  5. Taxi with minimal Forward-Thrust (5)
  6. Lift Collective to take off

WARNING:
Avoid flight with Inter-Shaft OFF. Single engine failure can lead to rapid loss of control!

Did you deactivate A.S.E. (Advanced Stability Equipment)? The deactivation key for A.S.E. is only meant for emergencies or autopilot malfunction. Leave the key offf (and therefore A.S.E. enabled) and it should fly by itself.

I am horrible at flying it, every time I fly it, it does 17 Barrel Rolls then falls to the ground. Wonder what I am doing wrong?
