PFD-300 Avionics Package

Description
PFD-300
The PFD-300 is the long awaited successor to the PFD-100. It is a complete avionics package that provides you with neatly formatted attitude, heading, airspeed, and altitude information. Simply install it in your aircraft with a 3x3 display and the relevant sensors, and your'e good to go. There are a few customization options in the microcontroller properties to make it more unique to your aircraft.

Details
Attitude information is provided across the entire display, and airspeed/altitude tapes are shown on the left and right respectively. Magenta bars indicate acceleration and vertical speed values next to the airspeed/altitude tapes.

Nodes
This microcontroller has a 3x3 footprint and 9 nodes.

Inputs
There are 7 sensor inputs, requiring three tilt sensors, a wind sensor, a compass, a linear speed sensor, and an altimeter. A composite input can take information from either of the add-on modules. You can connect either module independently, or string them together.

Outputs
Video output to the 3x3 display.

Installation
Just connect this controller to a 3x3 display and the required sensors. Each node description explains how to install the respective sensor.

Finally, you can test fly your aircraft to determine its stall speed "Vs", maximum cruise speed "Vno", and maximum dive speed "Vne". Input these values into the microcontroller properties and the colors on the airspeed tape will be correct. Alternatively, disable the colors with the "Delineate speed band" option.

Other settings can be changed to your preference. Look at the third image on this page for guidance.

Optional Add-On Modules
For complete functionality there are two add-on modules for the PFD-300.

First is the Autopilot Integrator found here. This module gives you the ability to display target altitude, heading, and speed information. If you are retrofitting the PFD-300 where a PFD-100 was previously installed, the PFD-300 is backwards compatible with the PFD-100 Autopilot Integrator.

Next is the Command Bar Module found here. This displays magenta command bars on your PFD-300 when enabled. This gives autopilot attitude information on the display so that the pilot can easily hand fly autopilot commands. Can be configured as single cue or dual cue like in real aircraft.

See more info about these modules on the fourth image on this page.

Thanks!
Thanks jbaker96 for your AH code. It helped me a lot initially but I have changed it up quite a bit.

Feel free to use this in any of your creations but please credit me if you post it.

Thanks! I really appreciate it, the 1110-CA actually made it to the 3rd page of the workshop! That's my first creation to get up there so i'm really exited!

Hey @Echoless, thanks for using my PFD in both of your aircraft! I think it looks great in your planes. I can work on porting it to a 1x2 monitor but it might be a long time. Someone has already made a similar 1x2 version for their helicopter. I’ll post the link if I find it!

Can you make one for 1x2 monitor please!

Alright!

@Mr.Franco The compass/map is something I made a while back and never published. It still needs some work.

@Bane882266 Thanks! I was definitely trying to keep it from becoming too cluttered and I'm glad it worked.

I love this artificial Horizon so much. It display so much information yet not too much information. Nice job!

can i have the link to that compass/map screen? :steamhappy:

Thanks guys! And @MullerCorp, I'll take a look at converting it to other monitors. With 2x3 I could probably add many more functions.
